We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"ABBYY Timeline provides various reports and charts that help us identify areas for improvement and optimize our business processes."

"For the amount of information that it processes, it works relatively fast. I like the visual presentation and the interface is intuitive. I also like that Celonis has a learning academy.""Its usage is relatively straightforward after the UI is set up. There's a lot of pre-built analysis that can be utilized, which saves a lot of time. Overall, it is a good product.""I have found the automatic mapping of the processes themselves to be a valuable feature.""Action Flows are good.""The real-time replication was just implemented and is quite useful.""Celonis provides valuable features with in-depth analysis models and UI.""The solution offers very good division management.""Cause analyzer is a very good feature."

Cons
"There are a couple of new features available in Timeline that still need more time to mature."

More ABBYY Timeline Cons →

"In the next release, I would like for them to integrate more custom features to ease the process of having multiple solutions. I would like to be able to integrate it with other solutions.""The UI could be improved.""The technical support is very bad.""I have noticed Celonis and Azure, as Infrastructure-as-a-service do not communicate well with each other. Since Celonis has recently acquired PAF they would try to synergize their operations with Microsoft tools. In the next couple of years, they should be more connected to the Microsoft ecosystems. In the long term, they should integrate more with SAP which is a partner of Microsoft. This would result in cost efficiencies.""I would really appreciate it if Celonis had significant compatibility with robotic process automation solutions. Once they define the process and understand it, streamline it, optimize it, and take inputs around it. When they reconfigure the process, there should be good compatibility with any of the automation tools, wherein I can integrate for robotic process automation, where I can streamline many of these processes on the application itself. Today, I need to extract this process and reload it into other tools, like UiPath, to integrate them with Automation Anywhere. If this tool can provide that efficiency, that would be great. I'm a data analytics guy. I lead a data analytics team. So technically, I would primarily look at if this can give me a visualization opportunity and integrate that in terms of the data.""They should leverage the solution's machine learning algorithms.""The marketplace should offer process connectors for Oracle JDEdwards, and Peoplesoft.""The task mining feature of Celonis needs improvement because it's more challenging than it looks."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
  • "It is quite a significant investment. From a cost perspective, they need to reevaluate the licensing model. The cost is justified, but they need to make the licensing model slightly different."
  • "Evaluating the price of the solution can be a difficult question. It is all about the business case and the return of the investments. That is typically how we also see this type of solution. It depends very much on the return. The entry-level is focused on enterprise size companies, for the SMB segment is it is out of their range. It is definitely expensive."
  • "I was not involved in that, but I am sure it was cost-effective for them. That's why they made the decision to take it."
  • "The cost of the software for us or the client is on the higher end."
  • "The solution requires an annual license. There is room for improvement because it is priced for organizations and not for individuals. For an individual, it would be too expensive for them to use it."
  • "Celonis is expensive. It's not for mid or low-sized enterprises because the license price is high. Overall, it's quite pricey compared to anything else that I have heard about. But the good thing is that they don't charge per user. They charge for the data model."
  • "Celonis offers free learning possibilities. I am using the free version of Celonis."
  • "It is an expensive solution."

    Overview

ABBYY Timeline is a cloud-based, AI-driven process mining tool. Using the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technology, ABBYY Timeline automatically builds an interactive digital twin of your business processes, analyzes them in real time to identify bottlenecks, and predicts future outcomes to facilitate better decision-making.

Why use process mining & task mining?

✔ End-to-end process visualization: Visualize the flow of your work through the process stages and see the delays, bottlenecks, and outliers. Gain insight into your “as-is” customer processes to understand challenges.

✔ Compliance risk management: Simplify compliance by using audit trails to build a model of your process and reason against it. Receive alerts when rules set in place are broken and follow up immediately to ensure that it won’t happen again.

✔ Greater ROI from automation: Drive down the cost of process evaluation and make it easy to identify high-value improvement opportunities. Discover the most valuable opportunities to implement RPA or automatically monitor the performance of your existing RPA processes.

✔ Accurate, un-biased data: Before, process mining relied on subject matter experts. Now, process mining software gives decision-makers facts and figures from real-time event log data to back up their decisions by serving as an irrefutable source of truth.

    How Timeline process mining works

In four steps, discover and visualize process execution details automatically by leveraging artificial intelligence to examine desktop user interaction (known as task mining) or by analyzing your existing data (known as process mining) to quickly identify opportunities for improvement, monitor ongoing performance in real-time, and predict future outcomes.

    1- Process discovering & mapping

    2- Process analysis & optimization

    3- Process monitoring and alerting

    4- Process analysis & simulation
