We performed a comparison between Auth0 and ForgeRock based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."It's a very powerful platform. It has the ability to do the usual stuff, according to modern protocols, like OIDC and OAuth 2. But the real benefit of using the platform comes from its flexibility to enhance it with rules and, now, with what they call authentication pipelines. That is the most significant feature, as it allows you to customize everything regarding the authentication and authorization process."
"The most valuable feature is that it is simple to integrate, irrespective of your codebase."
"I simply use the JWT from the client on the server side to process requests and push updated profile data to a database/queue as needed and end the process without having to persist data in the web server (sessions)."
"It is easily connected and easy to put our app in single sign-on."
"The valuable features are that it is extremely secure and that it's developer-friendly."
"It has improved our organization by providing login authentication for a mobile app."
"The most valuable feature is interface application integration, but we haven't fully used it yet. We'll need it in the future for a few potential clients."
"It supports identity federation, FSO and multi-tenancy."
"ForgeRock is an extensive product with many functionalities and capabilities, much more than many other tools combined."
"The most valuable features are that it is easy to manage and it's stable."
"We used it to implement multi-factor authentication and to improve our security posture as well as reducing the potential for attacks."
"We have found the identity and access management tools in the solution to be particularly useful for our organization."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the authentication for the consumers. The integration with other third-party applications is excellent."
"This is a stable solution. When you do experience any issues, you will see it in your DB logs or audit logs so you can easily reach a conclusion of might be causing it."
"The solution integrates well and it is important for them to keep up with the current trends in the market quickly enough, and they have been doing a good job at it."
"I like the way it is handling authentication and authorization."
"When they introduced the Organizations feature they did support different login screens per organization. However, they introduced a dependency between this feature and another called the New Universal Login Experience. The New Experience is a more lightweight login screen, but it is much less customizable. For example, today, we are able to fully customize our login screen and even control the background image according to the time of day. We have code to do that. But we are not able to write code anymore in the New Experience."
"The tool's price should be improved."
"In the past, there was an issue with the multi-tenant where there wasn't the ability to manage them."
"There could be easy integration with IoT devices for the product."
"There is a possibility to improve the machine-to-machine authentication flow. This part of Auth0 is not really well documented, and we could really gain some additional knowledge on that."
"The product could use a more flexible administration structure"
"The Management API could be improved so it's easier to get user information."
"The price modelling is a bit confusing on the site and can be costly."
"It should have a better user interface. Its flexibility should also be improved. It is not about simplifying; it is more about flexibility. Each company has its own requirements, and ForgeRock can provide more flexibility in terms of the use of existing modules to implement features for the customers."
"Automatic Deployment needs improvement. it could be made easier."
"We're worried about the scaling. We're told it will be okay and there won't be issues, however, I'm not 100% convinced."
"The only problem with ForgeRock is that it is derived from an open-source product, so sometimes it's a bit unstable."
"The solution could improve by adding more advertising and marketing."
"The product's support services in the French language are not free."
"I think the upgrade process is sometimes a little complicated and there are failures that occur."
"The user interface could be improved as it is cumbersome and outdated. It doesn't have a responsive UI."
