Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It has reduced the number of full-time employees.""This boosts the customer confidence and experience. When the customer experience increases, obviously sales will increase.""The standout qualities of Automation Anywhere were the ease of automation and that it is an intuitive tool. After a simple walkthrough, a couple of hours or two, you would be able to hit the ground running.""The most valuable features of this solution are its scalability, security using the credential vault, and ease of use for business.""Automation Anywhere offers valuable features, including command packages for PDF, Windows, XML, and Excel, as well as universal recording capabilities.""We have been able to reduce the amount of repetitive tasks completed by operations, allowing individuals to move onto tasks which cannot yet be automated.""I liked the Automation Anywhere University. It was easy and simple. I hoped that it wouldn't take too much of my time, and it didn't, which was good.""I like Automation Anywhere's document automation. It can distill or scan documents and convert the information into a structured format."

"The dashboard is the solution's most valuable feature. When clients want to look at the data it's very easy for them to do so. The dashboard for the IT manager is very useful if there are issues and to create and follow processes.""The most valuable feature is that it is easy to use.""OCR, document processing, is one of the main features of WorkFusion. It can analyze your documents very efficiently. The accuracy is close to 90 percent. It can analyze and extract data from any document to populate or update it in other sources, like Excel or Google Sheets.""We can see that its competitive ability is quite good.""WorkFusion's RPA Express's ability to scale across multiple geographies with limited impact on additional IT Hardware requirements. This has enabled the scaling of Robotics capabilities and solutions across all our entities.""WorkFusion's SAP integrations are really good.""We have been very pleased with the speed and decisiveness of WorkFusion, which is able to quickly provide a disposition note or escalate to a human for additional review.""It takes care of simple tasks so users can focus more on exceptions than on regular use cases. They only focus on orders where they need to handle an exception, some information was not given, or there is an issue that they had to focus on. The rest of it goes straight through without human touch. We want to see our employees as engineers, wherein they think and solve problems, not necessarily have to do repetitive tasks. I think WorkFusion helps with avoiding repetitive tasks."

Cons
"If I build a bot today and don't use it, however, in several months, someone tries to use it, there's a 30-40% change the bot will fail in one or two areas.""We need more commands for PDF integration to make it more flexible.""The IQ Bot could use improvement.""The quality and speed of Automation Anywhere's support need significant improvement.""When it comes to reading email, this solution is unstable and improvements need to be made.""This solution should be more user-friendly so that our clients can take a bot that we have developed for them, and then run it by themselves.""In high-availability, we have two Control Rooms acting as a cluster so if one fails the other one will take over. But that's not our environment operationally, and the latest information we have is that they identified another product bug.""Our users would like more online community forums where they can exchange information. I would also like a better way to monitor and manage all the automations we have running within our systems because our CoE governance must be robust so we are always aware of what's happening."

More Automation Anywhere (AA) Cons →

"Where it can be improved is the speed. I built two bots, one with WorkFusion and the same thing with Python. My feeling was that the speed at which Python did things, how fast it did them, was quite cool. It was faster.""We would like to see further improvement in the area of running headless.""A better graphical user interface that allows business users to perform automation would make this solution number one in the market.""The product could do more to expand its 'codeless' coding options by adding drag-and-drop assistance in building bots for non-technical users.""Because the data is coming from offline, paper-based invoices and sometimes from Excel, data accuracy is the main challenge... Sometimes, WorkFusion has lacked the functionality for extracting the right information from the invoices and we have had to manually correct the format.""This is a Java-based application that takes up a lot of space and when it runs, consumes a lot of memory. This affects the reliability because it gets to a point where it hangs.""The solution is not user-friendly, this is something they should improve.""The problem with the solution is that it is agnostic, so it's not made for banks. Sometimes we are challenged because of this. We have to make everything from scratch to make it work for our clients."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing is too high for small-scale groups. The Control Room yearly fee is high, making it difficult to break even."
  • "Automation Anywhere is competitive... Pega is somewhat comparable, but Pega also requires a lot more infrastructure and a lot more experience to get up and running."
  • "Automation Anywhere is costlier than the general competition. That is aligned with the share of the market it has."
  • "They're very flexible around pricing and licensing."
  • "They give us a good deal on the licensing because we bundle and customize things. If you ask to get a bulk business deal, you will receive more benefit. If you take other products from the suite, like IQ Bot, you can also receive a deal on the licensing."
  • "We just did a round of price comparison on a global scale and found it's so hard to compare the license prices. But, Automation Anywhere, in general, is on the same price level as the other vendors, a bit lower in some cases."
  • "If you look at the capital expenditure, Automation Anywhere is number two to UiPath. But if you take a long-term view, on a scalable model of a large number of bots coming out, it slowly goes on to become the costliest tool. There is something they can do about that. The capital expenditure goes out right at the point of buying the tool. For Automation Anywhere, I would need to spend $20,000. UiPath can give me something for $6,000, while Blue Prism will come in at $300,000."
  • "It's cheaper than other similar solutions."
  • More Automation Anywhere (AA) Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Find it online."
  • "They have a very expensive license compared to any other automation tool. For instance, at $50,000 - $60,000, you can bring in an Automation Anywhere solution. For this solution, you need at least $250,000 to get something going."
  • "It is not the most expensive solution, but it is also not the cheapest."
  • "I can't speak to pricing. It's a contract signed by upper management."
  • "We are on an annual contract to use the solution."
  • "My client is using RPA Express, which is available for them to use free of charge."
  • "One upgrade took a year to do, from the first server being built to the last bot being migrated. This was because we had to migrate all our existing bots. This is the same process and time frame that we are expecting towards the upcoming upgrade. I will end up spending half a million dollars to do an upgrade."
  • "The solution was not the cheapest, but it was also not the most expensive. Workfusion was very open to negotiating pricing and to working within the objectives of our firm."
