We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We've automated web applications in the banking domain using Blue Prism. This involved automating long and complex banking processes. Every action we automate with the tool generates an audit log, which is safe within the LogRhythm environment. I do find the Decipher feature very useful when it comes to document automation.""We started with a very small team and small projects. As the project started getting success with Blue Prism we have a large number of teams now just for automating all the business procedures. Larger time was saved after automating the processes.""The integration has improved a lot in terms of SAP, and other screens.""Blue Prism currently supports SQL Servers and structured data.""The support is good.""RPA processes are helpful when we need interaction with different applications and close the technical gaps between them. In one of the use cases that we evaluated, there was a single Excel template from a vendor. The Excel file has 7,000 objects, and it included information about the part numbers, prices, and some of the details about each object of the aircraft. This file had to be input to SAP, so a human had to enter these 7,000 objects one by one, which is a pretty mechanical and uninteresting task. The RPA bot was easily able to import this file. Without RPA, this import had to be done by a person who had to do the same task 7,000 times just to import one contract.""The automation on offer is great.""The most valuable feature of Blue Prism is the control and development of the processes from one location."

"If you have a business process, and once you have automated that process, you have a readily available workflow in place.""The good stuff about IBM is the fact that it's very easy to use, there are very nice and smart AI tools within the licensing that you don't have to pay any access. Moreover, it's more precise and more secure.""I think simplicity is key. One of the things that we've noticed is how our developers have been able to quickly adopt the platform; but not only the developers or the techy people, also the business.""IBM Robotic Process Automation has greatly improved the organization by improving the speed of performance, as the speed of the robot is estimated to be 20 times faster than the human being.""Integrating the tool with SAP, EBS, or other ERPs is easy.""The most valuable feature is the ability to automate mundane tasks. This improves efficiency, reliability, etc. You can form critical operations which can be highly automated.""It's not inclusive, in terms of automation, you can just do it standalone, in its own silo. It's not going to force your existing system or teams, your admin teams, to create new IDs for you or even force them to create new services or APIs for you or expose something from there. They can just keep the way they are doing it right now, but you still automate it.""The solution's ease of use is its most valuable aspect."

Cons
"I believe that there could be more community support, or there could be more support for developers like us from Blue Prism. Blue Prism provides a lot of documentation, but there is a lack of support.""Its pricing is sometimes higher. Its price can be better. Its presale support should be increased. Currently, its presale support is very less. System integrators generally position Blue Prism in front of customers. Though they have an ecosystem, they don't have people who can train for the partner ecosystem. They have to increase the presales consultants for partners. In addition, their L1 and L2 support can also be improved.""Our primary challenge at present is that we are finding it difficult to get additional business insights into existing processes so that we can identify where we need to improve.""Blue Prism can improve on the ease of use of its graphic user interface(GUI).""Navigation within the UI could be improved.""I would like to see the vendor improve the efficiency of Blue Prism interaction with applications.""They improve more in OCR, to read text more correctly, currently can say OCR in blue prism only works for less cases and is only effective 50%. so mostly OCR's of Blue prism is very less used and other API's or tools are integrated with Blue prism for OCR techniques.""The control room is still the desktop version, which restricts access. You can't really access it from anywhere."

More Blue Prism Cons →

"Capturing GUI operations is very easy, but capturing IBM Logistics automation is hard. It does not always work with browsers or automotive applications like SAP.""We would like a decreased need for customer support.""We are looking to see how it can connect with various interfaces seamlessly, through APIs.""IBM should provide specific solutions for specific problems, like templates for invoicing processes, or general templates for creating efficient processes.""We can use its inbuilt activities, and it's a complete package, but just like ElectroNeek, a limitation is that we have to depend on its inbuilt activities. We can't include our own activities or we can't introduce other activities.""We're based in Thailand, but the documentation is not in Thai, which makes it difficult for us. If they could translate all of their documentation into our language, we'd be very grateful.""Needs better integration with artificial intelligence or with machine-learning.""There are certain limitations in the solution for screen reading."
