Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The retention module is one of the most valuable features. Whatever we scan onto the system can be identified and we are notified when the records are due to be disposed.""We found the setup process to be okay since they do offer a troubleshooting guide.""OnBase is a remarkable tool. It is a well-done product. Hyland has a lot of experience in building it and looking for new things for clients in terms of functionalities. It has amazing stability, and it can grow horizontally and vertically. It is built for growth. Their technical support is also quite good and available throughout the year.""I like the cloud and its integrability.""The most valuable features are that it's very secure and provides audit trails for our documents.""The solution is very developed and we are not taking full advantage of its functionalities."

"It gives you access to important files from virtually anywhere.""Image management is great since the search is simple, and accessing images with labels is easy.""The feature that I have found the most valuable is that Microsoft OneDrive works with any Enterprise Cloud Solutions Office app. You can edit a document on the cloud, share documents with your colleagues, and monitor changes. You can access your work almost anywhere. You can also sync Microsoft OneDrive with your workstation so that whatever you are working on gets automatically backed up to the cloud at regular intervals. So even if your system crashes, you still have a copy of your documents in the cloud, which I found very useful.""The most valuable feature is to be able to modify the file online and keep it stored on the cloud, since it is not necessary to download it to make modifications.""We use Microsoft OneDrive for file sharing without the need for additional hardware (such as flash drives or external hard drives).""It's pretty easy to learn. Once someone taught me, I was able to navigate it quite easily.""Scalability is good just because it is a cloud-based product.""The most valuable feature of the solution is the amount of space allotted to each user that is issued a subscription."

Cons
"The look and feel could be better. The integration with the user could be better. It could also be more user-friendly.""We are struggling with duplicates and would like to have OCR functionality when using this solution.""We need to troubleshoot why our reports didn't get downloaded in a day. There is a workflow feature which powerful but also complicated.""An area for improvement would be the training - getting our people up to speed on how to use it required more training than we expected due to the complexity of the solution.""The dashboards do have some room for improvement as compared to the other vendors which are there in the market.""For user experience, they would have to do more with the interface. It is not easy to work with and is a little messy. It is getting better, but it is not yet good enough. Other products are comparatively doing better in terms of the user interface. I have been hearing about Box, which is very easy to use and learn for the users. OnBase has to work on this aspect. It should have BPM capabilities. We compete with tools that provide the BPM feature and support those standards. They can do better in terms of the pricing model. It is a really expensive tool in Latin America. They should have different prices for different regions."

More Hyland OnBase Cons →

"The technical support is really very bad.""The solution has sub-folders, which are visible to various team members. If you want to ensure the information is private, you would need to have a certain level of seniority in the office.""The file structure insight could be made more flexible like for creating more flexible folders.""An increase in the capacity of storage in the free version would be nice.""An online video player would be great, since sometimes you have to download the video to play it.""The website could be improved. Sometimes I try to login and the website has issues, I can't retrieve my documents.""The user interface sometimes fails and when it cannot connect, it does not give the reason why.""If I want to pick out certain criteria of pictures, Google enables me to do that whereas OneDrive is a bit sort of flaky."
