Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"Our customers like that Nagios Core is an open source solution. It can be customized to our customers' specific needs.""It is fairly easy to set up, and we can monitor pretty much everything we want to.""Key features include the GUI interface, its notification capabilities, and the real-time reporting.""The most valuable feature of Nagios Core is it allows us to develop and add as many plugins as we want.""The most valuable feature depends on the project. It's great if you need to check to ensure a service is running 24/7. I can use the full solution for free, and it's flexible. If I need to add a dashboard, I can integrate it with Nagios. Cloud synchronization is wonderful.""Alert calls occur anytime a service goes down or a matrix is difficult and that helps us to quickly restore service and transfer work.""The most valuable features are the reports and the way it generates the report in a graphical manner.""We use the product to monitor server applications."

More Nagios Core Pros →

"Splunk Episodes are valuable because it correlates and aggregates all the information, and you do not have one million events to look at and triage, so it is quite convenient.""ITSI includes a feature called a glass table.""The most valuable features are the agility, being able to ingest many data sources with no limitation on capacity.""The modeling required to setup ITSI has been very helpful in providing us a better understanding and a logical view of our services. The modeling is flexible and can be as granular or high level as our needs dictate.""The solution is easy to scale.""The most valuable aspect lies in its utilization of predictive analytics to anticipate and prevent incidents within a window of twenty to thirty minutes.""We save substantial time on monitoring tasks because we don't have to search for what we need. Everything is packed, so you can drill down to the end values by just doing the kit. We don't spend a lot of time on this. Splunk ITSI is easy to use and not time-consuming.""We have a lot of teams using Splunk and they would be blind without it."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"It's not that easy to install the product itself. Also, the UI is a bit hard for regular users to navigate through.""Bandwidth monitoring is the pain point for me because Nagios Core does not monitor bandwidth effectively like Cacti does.""Nagios Core is limited in terms of distributed setups, and there is no central view for remote data centers.""We're using the free version, which limits us in terms of the things that we can do. If we had the paid version, a lot of our issues would probably go away. For example, we can't isolate instances that are being built or updated with the production ones. When they're being built, on Nagios, they're showing in red. It'd be nice to be able to partition those off until they're all green, and then we can bring them into the environment. This is probably because we've got the free version and not the paid version. If we went for the paid version, it would probably allow us to do exactly what we want to or remove the restrictions that we have, but if we are able to isolate instances in the free version, it would make life much easier.""The user interface could be more interactive because it is pretty basic.""It would be nice if the company offered a sales or contract manager that was dedicated to our company so that we would have some sort of link to Nagios, and if we had issues or questions, we'd be able to contact them directly.""The initial setup process could be easier.""The scalability needs improvement, it's not scalable at this time."

More Nagios Core Cons →

"The solution should integrate more features in NEAP.""We also faced challenges relating to UI development.""Splunk ITSI generates numerous false positives and has the potential for enhancement.""We experience occasional delays in receiving solutions from Splunk technical support. Splunk's support for P3 cases seems inadequate, as they frequently switch support personnel. For instance, in a single P3 case, we had three different technical support representatives assigned. We were ultimately forced to escalate the issue to our account manager to get it resolved. In essence, we never receive complete support from a single point of contact; instead, the support team keeps changing, necessitating us to explain the problem from scratch each time.""We have problems doing upgrades and operating alternate new versions.""If the product had some prebuilt machine learning features, it would add value to our use cases.""We'd like them to show more inputs on the dashboard.""After upgrading Splunk ITSI from version 4.11 to 4.13, the analyzer stopped finding values for KPS and services."
