We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Intune's feature that I have found most valuable is its auto-pilot feature.""It has a useful device management feature.""The ability to manage devices with different sets of policies is most valuable.""One of the biggest advantages of Microsoft Intune is that it brings the management of Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and even Linux under a single pane of glass.""Autopilot is a great feature. Most users are looking for a zero-touch deployment.""The Microsoft Windows Autopilot and Defender policies are the most valuable features of this solution.""It is a comprehensive security solution that not only controls access to enterprise resources but also tracks and prevents unauthorized access, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and preventing potential data loss scenarios.""The solution is scalable. We currently have tens of thousands of users within our organization using the solution."

"The initial setup process is straightforward and fast.""The security features work well.""I like the level of interaction that the product offers with the other products in our company's environment.""They always add more features to this product.""The management and enrollment process is great, and with the asset management and instant action menu, we can easily maintain and support the users.""The solution provides us with data protection.""One of the most valuable features of Sophos Mobile is the Wifi password.""The most valuable feature is the mobile device management capability. You can easily manage all of your mobile devices."

"Look at other options but ultimately, this solution offers possibly one of the best solutions out there."

Cons
"Additional application deployment options e.g. MSI deployment with more complex parameters or additional side-by-side files, and non-MSI deployment options.""Sometimes, customers compare it with AirWatch, but the concept of Intune is different from other solutions. It's an application management app. It gets a bit difficult to explain it to customers, but it's not a product limitation. It takes a presale document or presentation to explain it to customers.""There are a few security features that are not available in Microsoft Intune, when compared to other products.""The security features should be improved.""I'd like some more reporting so that I don't have to delve into PowerShell and I can pull more of the local device information such as memory, apps installed, etc. It would be nice to be able to see the apps that are present there but might not be managed. For example, if they installed 7Zip, it could report that back via an installed program or feature to see what was currently installed.""Cost is the biggest factor for us right now. Microsoft Intune and AD P1 together in a bundle is a good thing to have, but it is very costly compared to other products in the market. Otherwise, Microsoft Intune is the best.""Reporting could be improved. It needs to be more expensive and robust.""I think that there is room for improvement with the reporting. If this is done, it will be a better product."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"The product does not work well in iOS.""In terms of what could be improved, the initial configuration and setup of the environment could probably be made a little bit easier. There are so many pieces that go into it. Intune is absolutely insane and Sophos is better, but it still is a bit complex to get it all set up correctly.""Our support reps are based in the Philippines, and it's hard to connect with them sometimes. It took me about two months to resolve my issue, so it wasn't a good experience.""They continue to work on integration with mobile device management and mobile security. They are improving the protection but I think that the capabilities still need to be enhanced.""For Sophos Mobile, it is difficult to get good support.""We would like to see graphics showing the use of each device.""The setup should be made easier.""To manage the Apple devices is not that straightforward there are a lot of features the other third parties solutions are offering which Sophos Mobile is not."

More Sophos Mobile Cons →

"General reporting can be improved. The logs only last a short period of time, so reporting could be improved."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

Sophos Mobile is a Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and security solution that helps businesses spend less time and effort to manage and secure traditional and mobile endpoints. The only UEM solution that integrates natively with a leading next-gen endpoint security platform, Sophos Mobile supports management of Windows 10, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.

The Zimperium Mobile Threat Defense platform delivers real-time on-device threat detection and remediation for Android and iOS devices, the networks they connect to, and the apps running on them, with an underlying console and integration to leading MDM/EMM mobility management solutions and SIEM dashboards.
