Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is user-friendly and has good documentation. It's good for developing communication and has a lot of the APIs needed for this purpose. There aren't a lot of software options available from this time period; this is the only one from 2013 that has this concept of microservices.""Kofax is very easy to use, UI-friendly and allows easy data extraction.""It's not so complex to design what you need to.""It's a growing tool that offers a complete package of BPM, case management, and capture capabilities.""Data extraction and auto-classification are great features.""Its integration capabilities are valuable. It has low code/no code features. You have to do minimal coding.""The tool is low code which saves you from a developer.""One feature I like is that it makes the matrix easy for an unstructured document."

"This solution has great document recognition capabilities.""It really does help by either freeing up people's time to focus on more value-added tasks or reducing headcount. We generally have other things that we can get people to do, helping make the employees' work more meaningful since they are not having to do the mundane stuff.""If you compare it to its competitors in the market, it is more Java-native.""We can see that its competitive ability is quite good.""It takes care of simple tasks so users can focus more on exceptions than on regular use cases. They only focus on orders where they need to handle an exception, some information was not given, or there is an issue that they had to focus on. The rest of it goes straight through without human touch. We want to see our employees as engineers, wherein they think and solve problems, not necessarily have to do repetitive tasks. I think WorkFusion helps with avoiding repetitive tasks.""WorkFusion helps by speeding up processes. The process takes time. It has business costs associated because there are people waiting to take the next steps in the process. The end result of waiting, whether it is an internal or external team, is that they are delayed. Therefore, it helps us in speeding up business processes and improving employee morale, as people don't have to do repetitive work anymore.""The Control Tower enables us to create and use workflows. It helps us run processes. There are a lot of small features, but the Control Tower is a very good feature, wherein we can create bots and schedule them as well as create different instances of them to run in different regions.""It's a pretty robust product."

Cons
"The pricing for Kofax TotalAgility could be more attractive, particularly the cloud version of the solution which was offered to my company. This is its area for improvement.""Kofax should improve its handwritten extractions.""Room for improvement would be better OCR functionality in terms of Arabic OCR. There should be better accuracy.""The product's console version is old. It should also improve its forum.""Kofax TotalAgility could improve the OTR engine. The page OTR engine is not accurate in predicting the data properly. If you provide many features which are good for business process management without an accurate OTR engine people will not want it.""There needs to be more accessible certification and better pricing.""Sometimes there isn't enough accuracy when it comes to extracts.""The one thing I would like to see more of right now: is a simplified form creation. That would be the most significant improvement I would like to see in their product."

More Tungsten TotalAgility Cons →

"There is enhanced functionality I would like to see, things that would further enhance the user experience, deliver greater efficiencies, and further mitigate risk.""Where it can be improved is the speed. I built two bots, one with WorkFusion and the same thing with Python. My feeling was that the speed at which Python did things, how fast it did them, was quite cool. It was faster.""Because the data is coming from offline, paper-based invoices and sometimes from Excel, data accuracy is the main challenge... Sometimes, WorkFusion has lacked the functionality for extracting the right information from the invoices and we have had to manually correct the format.""We would like to see further improvement in the area of running headless.""The product could do more to expand its 'codeless' coding options by adding drag-and-drop assistance in building bots for non-technical users.""It is complex for enterprise implementation. The solution needs a needs minimum, of 20-22 servers. It's no small task. This is not a straightforward setup. It's a large undertaking and there are many moving parts.""It should integrate with more ERP solutions like SAP. It doesn't currently have that ability.""So far, we have developed only one automation using machine learning. The results were less than optimal. Part of this could be because of the use case that was selected. Overall, our experience was suboptimal. WorkFusion was an outstanding partner in terms of providing their experts for free to help us on that particular use case, but we still have a lot of things to figure out in terms of how to use its machine learning capability."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The licensing cost for Kofax TotalAgility is very expensive, though I'm unable to give you the range, the sales representatives of my company say that the product is quite expensive."
  • "It is slightly more expensive than other tools."
  • "Kofax TotalAgility is very expensive."
  • "It has a perpetual license. You pay once in a lifetime for the volume of scans you will do and the number of users you will have. You can have participants or regular users, and you can have developers and administrators. So, once you purchase it, it is for a lifetime, and then every year, you have to pay for the maintenance. There is an annual maintenance cost, which is about 18% of the licensing cost."
  • "The price of this solution is less than some of the competition."

  • "Find it online."
  • "They have a very expensive license compared to any other automation tool. For instance, at $50,000 - $60,000, you can bring in an Automation Anywhere solution. For this solution, you need at least $250,000 to get something going."
  • "It is not the most expensive solution, but it is also not the cheapest."
  • "I can't speak to pricing. It's a contract signed by upper management."
  • "We are on an annual contract to use the solution."
  • "My client is using RPA Express, which is available for them to use free of charge."
  • "One upgrade took a year to do, from the first server being built to the last bot being migrated. This was because we had to migrate all our existing bots. This is the same process and time frame that we are expecting towards the upcoming upgrade. I will end up spending half a million dollars to do an upgrade."
  • "The solution was not the cheapest, but it was also not the most expensive. Workfusion was very open to negotiating pricing and to working within the objectives of our firm."
