Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The share screen option available during conferences is one of the best features of Cisco Meeting Server.""The UI is user-friendly and very good overall.""What I like most about Cisco Meeting Server is its quick management. The solution also has a straightforward configuration.""Cisco Meeting Server is an easy and less complex solution.""You can use the Cisco Meeting Server to set up conference calls and virtual meetings. Those are the two primary functions of Meeting Server. Most people in the company are using Microsoft Teams, so we only use Meeting Server when we have an internal meeting for all staff."

"The product's initial setup phase was straightforward.""You can configure whatever you want in great detail.""Webex is a reliable solution and has good video quality.""I enjoy being able to make video calls.""Once it's running, it's okay.""Webex is easy to use, even for people who are just learning it.""The important feature is breakout sessions. We can create a breakout session if you want to hold a conference and make a room only for some people at the meeting.""We can access and conduct meetings remotely from anywhere using Webex."

Cons
"This is a difficult solution to install and it should be made easier.""Cisco Meeting Server should include a feature to control another user's screen during a remote session.""What would make Cisco Meeting Server better is integrating it with Zoom and Teams so that you can connect or make a call through any of the two third-party solutions.""A few features are missing on the Meetings app, like a recording function. My understanding is that you need to buy a separate recording solution. It's modular, so you have to enable some functions if you want to use them. For example, we had to enable the Mood function. Recording is the primary feature we'd like to see in the app.""In Cisco Meeting Server, GUI is an area of concern where improvements are required."

More Cisco Meeting Server Cons →

"The product needs to improve its integration. I'm not sure how difficult it is for the IT team to set up the integration. Once set up, it's easy but still not as straightforward as other platforms, like Microsoft Teams, where everything is within the same technical environment. To ensure further security, face authentication should also be added for all internal corporate users logged into the platform.""I was in a meeting on the free version where there were no controls. You couldn't mute somebody or put it in dedicated speaker mode. It was an important meeting, and because of the lack of an ability to control who the speakers were, we got a version of a heckler. Well, it wasn't really a heckler per se. It was just somebody who thinks they know everything.""We have had issues where some of the invited participants are not able to join the meeting.""Webex is a very demanding application, so it requires a very heavy bandwidth.""There is a small bug when it comes to connecting my Webex with my Outlook Calendar. Some meetings show up, and others don't. They should fix this bug.""I would like for them to include a collaboration tool so that you can directly do a video call or audio call to your colleagues or anyone in the office.""Although we utilize it for team collaboration, it's not very efficient. Most people don't bother turning on their video during meetings. We feel stuck in the past, relying on outdated technology.""Currently, I'm unable to find any loophole in Webex, but in terms of areas for improvement, it would be better if a user is informed about any new updates or new features added to the tool."
