Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"They have support for integration with a lot of tools.""The stability of Microsoft OneDrive is very good, it is reliable. There were multiple instances where I had lost my valuable data on hard drives in several other places. However, with Microsoft OneDrive, I've never lost a single file.""It's pretty easy to learn. Once someone taught me, I was able to navigate it quite easily.""It helps you keep organized.""Image management is great since the search is simple, and accessing images with labels is easy.""It gives you access to important files from virtually anywhere.""The most valuable feature is to be able to modify the file online and keep it stored on the cloud, since it is not necessary to download it to make modifications.""It is good as a central hub for the storage of documents and sharing among team members."

"It stands out for its impressive records management capabilities and the ability to handle an extensive volume of documents, even reaching into the billions.""We primarily use it for storing documents. We host a variety of documents in OpenText Documentum. This includes raw files, analyzed files, and documents in multiple formats.""I appreciate Documentum's scalability, allowing for vast volumes of content storage.""The tool's most valuable feature is ACL, which helps to control the user groups that access the documents.""The most valuable feature of Documentum for our content management needs is its ability to segregate access based on department and role.""It has reduced the amount of paper documents; reducing time and errors in the process.""It provides possibilities for us to save documents and supporting the business process while doing so.""The storage of metadata content, workflows, and life cycles are the most valuable features of OpenText Documentum."

Cons
"The technical support is really very bad.""It is not very stable because there are a lot of bugs.""An online video player would be great, since sometimes you have to download the video to play it.""No one gets an alert when files are deleted.""The area that can be improved is to be able to share easily with folks outside the organization and with folks who don't have an office account. Sometimes, when you send a link, you might have some form of repetition. If you don't know how to share it properly, whoever you are sharing it with will have issues using it. Also, the link that you use to share a document can be made a bit shorter. It doesn't have to be long. Typically, when you want to share a document, it has everything, such as the name of the organization, SharePoint, etc. A short URL will be easier to use, and it will just make life easier, especially because a lot of people are now going mobile. I'm not sure if there's a mobile version of Microsoft OneDrive, similar to Google Drive. If they don't have a mobile app, it would also be nice to have a mobile app because that would help in checking out your documents. It would be easy to check your documents on the go on your phone.""The initial setup is a bit clunky.""I would advice not storage sensitive information since it could be prone to hacking.""The solution has sub-folders, which are visible to various team members. If you want to ensure the information is private, you would need to have a certain level of seniority in the office."

More Microsoft OneDrive Cons →

"We mostly use the Life Sciences package. That package is somewhat dated. There should be enhancements to the Life Science package and additional offerings to support pharma in particular.""I would like to see performance improvements, especially regarding slow response times.""In BPM could be better. Its GUI needs the ability to build more rules. This is a crucial feature. For example, OpenText has some products that allow you to control your checks, invoices, and so on. They have exciting approaches to converting pictures to text, but the tool for business process management isn't easy to use. The GIU is not so good.""It should provide more tools to help clients upgrade solutions based on Webtop.""The main issue is the software's performance when storing around 10 million or more documents. It becomes slow and needs improvement. Perhaps it's a cloud-related issue, but it needs to be addressed. It could be due to our S3 bucket or something else. Nevertheless, this is a significant challenge we're facing.""It needs a better UI and it should also be cloud-ready. The UI has not changed in years.""OpenText Documentum has a lot of scope for improvement in terms of adding some AI integrations.""The user interface can be improved."
