Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"They are a good team that is proactive, and they are trying to accommodate all of our requirements.""The most valuable feature is the flexibility in using it.""The UI is easy. It's not very code based, so you can make certain changes on your end.""The most valuable features of Newgen OmniFlow are the user interface, the low-code no-code designer tools, and the integration models are important.""It is working fine so far. I haven't heard anything bad about it from the applications team that is using it, so I assume that it is doing okay.""Newgen will structure the system based on all the requirements of the business. We can design the forms as complex forms or make our own versions to fix what's wrong.""The most valuable feature for us is the Omnicon. That made sense for us because our company is now able to capture information from documents."

"It's easy to learn. However, there is very little content available for the Nintex also, but they are providing their own documentation and all. So, it's easy to learn also.""The workflow engine of K2 is its main strength. Its workflow engine is probably one of the best, and that's the reason why Nintex bought K2. It can clearly handle any complex process or scenario. K2 is almost low-code. It is a no-code or low-code solution. You don't have to read a whole lot of code. It is pretty much GUI based. Their support is also excellent. The biggest advantage of K2 is SmartObjects, which allow you to separate the data from the application. It is a standalone application that allows you to build a data source from different places, which a lot of other applications also do. It is called SmartObjects technology, which is pretty powerful. If I have data from different applications, such as JD and ServiceNow, I can just create a SmartObject based on a data source and use it. I have some forms that have six, seven, or eight applications in a single form with data from different places.""It has integration with BI and Analytics tools, and RPA toolsets as well.""The solution helped us automate several processes we used to do manually.""With an extensive list of integrations with LOB data, your workflows can extend far beyond SharePoint, driving adoption of SharePoint.""The solution has helped us to automate our business processes, our approval systems, and automation for quickly developing on SharePoint on-prem and SharePoint online.""K2 is reasonably priced.""Our solutions using Nintex has been most successful in automating HR processes because it allows you to easily and rapidly build solutions that conform to the unique business processes for each entity."

Cons
"Newgen OmniFlow could improve by having more out-of-the-box integration modules. It would be beneficial to have an analytics model that is not currently present.""I would like to see more automated analytics built into the solution.""At the system level, I would like to see things be much more flexible, especially for different document templates and introducing changes.""We had consistent issues of Newgen OmniFlow crashing. It's not compatible with bounce browsers like Chrome.""In terms of stability, like every product it has its issues.""The development teams should be more agile and they need to have more team members.""There should be some reporting and dashboarding capabilities. I don't see such capabilities built into it. Sometimes, the leadership wants to understand the business cases that we want to automate. We face a lot of challenges to justify why we are using Newgen, and we need a way to present that to the leadership. If there is something out of the box and if we can get meaningful dashboards and reporting capabilities, it would be helpful."

More Newgen OmniFlow Cons →

"User interface could use some improvement. Perhaps integration with Visual Studio or SharePoint Designer would be useful.""Currently, it's taking quite some time to deploy a package, it needs improvement""Bring all features available from the on-premise product into the cloud version and the workflow error reporting.""Built-in reporting on-prem is limited and clunky at best.""We are currently facing a lot of issues with Nintex, and we are trying to move away from this solution.""Nintex is still at the starting point of integrating with AI. It has integrated with a very small piece of artificial intelligence., like only integrated with the Google Cloud. There is a benefit, like a no-code and low-code solution. But, again, if you are a developer, especially if you are a hardcore developer, you are using your code knowledge, its skills, and all. And, suddenly, you are moving into the low-code solution, and then you will feel, like, so many things you can't achieve with the low-code solution.""There have been some glitches, and the workflow fails frequently.""At times, issues arise in certain scenarios. In such cases, the versioning can become quite difficult. There may be no other way but to restart the entire process or rectify it at that point."

  • More Newgen OmniFlow Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Nintex products are expensive, but valuable. Licensing in on-premise was historically based on a perpetual model, where you’d license per Web front-end. However, they are switching exclusively to a consumption (subscription) model, where you purchase the number of workflows you think you’ll use in your environment, and can scale up from there."
  • "Offering a licensing model that allows for multiple small workflows would be a huge improvement to an already great platform."
  • "Our maintenance costs are reduced."
  • "The annual support costs are expensive."
  • "Comparatively, it's expensive."
  • "We pay on a yearly basis. It's my understanding that we pay approximately $11,000/year."
  • "The initial investment in K2 is heavy. Currently, the expenditure is $28,000 for a year. After we go to the cloud, it is going to be per seat and probably cheaper. Currently, there are unlimited users."
  • "There is an initial fee when purchasing and a fee for maintenance afterward."
