Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Easily maintained and customization is quite simple.""This tool is really helpful in reducing a lot of manual work. Its drag and drop components help to create a workflow faster than SharePoint Workflow Designer.""The solution offers very good integration capabilities. We've never had issues integrating it without solutions.""The solution has helped us to automate our business processes, our approval systems, and automation for quickly developing on SharePoint on-prem and SharePoint online.""It leverages the out-of-the-box SharePoint back-end. This means that you don’t need to install or deploy additional infrastructure to support Nintex Workflow, unlike some of its competitors.""It provides data accuracy with fewer failures.""It's easy to learn. However, there is very little content available for the Nintex also, but they are providing their own documentation and all. So, it's easy to learn also.""Only Nintex has the feature which allows attachments to an email."

"Its integration capabilities are valuable. It has low code/no code features. You have to do minimal coding.""The tool is low code which saves you from a developer.""What I find most valuable in Kofax TotalAgility is its OCR feature. I also find its workflow and business process management capabilities valuable. Kofax TotalAgility also has good integration with other solutions and has an API call feature.""Kofax is very easy to use, UI-friendly and allows easy data extraction.""The product is really good, and it is easy to use. It comes with multiple integrations. The solution keeps up with the trend of Microsoft Copilot and AI.""Kofax TotalAgility is stable.""The most valuable features of this solution are automation, ease of billing processes with the process net, and low to no code development.""Data extraction and auto-classification are great features."

Cons
"It is very flexible because you can design your own main forms, but if there were some templates according to your market, it would be more useful for a new customer. That would make K2 more user friendly and easier to use.""The cost of the solution is high and has room for improvement.""Unfortunately, Nintex Workflow is not that stable. We are looking at shifting to another tool.""The security features for this solution need to be improved.""There have been some glitches, and the workflow fails frequently.""K2 is a workflow solution, and there is no RPA solution with K2. This is where K2 lacks a little bit. It is just a heavy workflow solution. It doesn't have a supplemental product like RPA. If you want to use RPA, you have to use Blue Prism, UIPath, or something else. If you use Nintex, it has an RPA solution. It is a form-based application, and they are doing everything electronically. The initial investment in K2 is heavy because it is a BPM software. It does not have a low cost because they charge you the same for one workflow or 100 workflows.""We are currently facing a lot of issues with Nintex, and we are trying to move away from this solution.""While Nintex Workflow has pretty robust troubleshooting abilities, I think that improving the default logging and notifications would be helpful."

"There needs to be more accessible certification and better pricing.""The product's console version is old. It should also improve its forum.""The Transformation Designer of KTA can be made better.""They provide sufficient but not excellent technical support. Perhaps there is a point where they could use some improvement.""TotalAgility needs to improve communication with ECMs or other file storage systems because TotalAgility does not have file storage. A good improvement would be to create file storage or integrate with other file storage tools that are currently available.""Room for improvement would be better OCR functionality in terms of Arabic OCR. There should be better accuracy.""The one thing I would like to see more of right now: is a simplified form creation. That would be the most significant improvement I would like to see in their product.""Kofax needs to improve the low-code or citizen developers."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Nintex products are expensive, but valuable. Licensing in on-premise was historically based on a perpetual model, where you’d license per Web front-end. However, they are switching exclusively to a consumption (subscription) model, where you purchase the number of workflows you think you’ll use in your environment, and can scale up from there."
  • "Offering a licensing model that allows for multiple small workflows would be a huge improvement to an already great platform."
  • "Our maintenance costs are reduced."
  • "The annual support costs are expensive."
  • "Comparatively, it's expensive."
  • "We pay on a yearly basis. It's my understanding that we pay approximately $11,000/year."
  • "The initial investment in K2 is heavy. Currently, the expenditure is $28,000 for a year. After we go to the cloud, it is going to be per seat and probably cheaper. Currently, there are unlimited users."
  • "There is an initial fee when purchasing and a fee for maintenance afterward."

  • "The licensing cost for Kofax TotalAgility is very expensive, though I'm unable to give you the range, the sales representatives of my company say that the product is quite expensive."
  • "It is slightly more expensive than other tools."
  • "Kofax TotalAgility is very expensive."
  • "It has a perpetual license. You pay once in a lifetime for the volume of scans you will do and the number of users you will have. You can have participants or regular users, and you can have developers and administrators. So, once you purchase it, it is for a lifetime, and then every year, you have to pay for the maintenance. There is an annual maintenance cost, which is about 18% of the licensing cost."
  • "The price of this solution is less than some of the competition."
