"Slack helps us keep the conversation focused and avoid multiple threads that create more confusion. I would say that has been the biggest advantage for us.""I like the tool's ability to send voice mail. We can also search for conversations easily in Slack.""The most valuable feature for me was the different channels.""Slack is a powerpack bundle of features that help small or large organizations to handle teams and their tasks.""We use Slack for general communication, conference calls, and sharing screens because we have people working from different countries.""The huddle feature is valuable to me.""The solution has a great user interface and functionalities. It has good features that we can use. We can integrate any third-party application with Slack so that it provides you with insights and updates in real-time on Slack itself.""The most valuable feature is that we can easily integrate different workloads and the alerts are reliable. Also because it allows us to use it as a monitoring tool sometimes."

Cons
"Sometimes the configurations of the error troubleshooting are pretty problematic and there are a lot of issues that happen even if you follow the step-by-step guides. They can work on fixing this issue. If there are a lot of issues in your Windows or your Office or anything, you restart your PC and it works. They need to get rid of this need.""Sometimes the synchronization between the desktop and online is a little bit slow.""It would be a fantastic opportunity if their solution could be used in combination with VoIP software, allowing you to combine VoIP software and Office 365 on a single platform.""Office 365 could be easier to use at first. Tutorials are needed to know how to use the solution.""If two people update the same file, it causes issues.""The security should be improved.""Microsoft Word is a little bit left behind regarding the tools it has.""A need that a company like ours has is that we want to be able to have data flow into one tool, for example, for all the management of tasks through the company and workflow of who is doing what and so on. There are no real solutions for this at the moment in Office 365. It would be nice if they could implement this in the next release, so we can have one solution from one company giving us the whole data and flow of data into the company."

"I have found it cumbersome to create and set up groups, or channels.""Slack should add a feature to schedule meetings.""Slack could add additional and better integrations.""I would like to see the social sharing of blogs, announcements, or other news directly from the message corner.""The solution should have less frequent updates.""Sometimes, the servers are not available.""The only area of concern that I have is with the inability to preview received documents without having to download them first.""Slack does not have videoconferencing capabilities, which would have been nice."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Licensing, billing, and accounting are available from the management interface."
  • "Good reporting and good value subscriptions for international calls."
  • "The pricing/licensing is easy to manage."
  • "The pricing is good for all the features that we receive, e.g., Skype for Business."
  • "The pricing is not really high, but one can get the software with the license key for free."
  • "The pricing is high and has actually caused us to limit the number of licenses we purchase due to budgeting."
  • "I think that we pay $9.99 USD per user, monthly."
  • "Most of the time, we purchase Microsoft Exchange licenses, which are less expensive and provide only an email platform and 50 gigabytes of email storage for free."
  • More Office 365 Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "We use the free version that does not have a license."
  • "The solution is expensive."
  • "It is less expensive than one of its competitors."
  • "It is an expensive tool. We pay 15 to 20 USD monthly per user."
  • "Slack is definitely worth the money."
  • "The pricing can range up to about twenty bucks a user. You can spend a lot of money, especially if you're talking about thousands of users. Generally speaking, Slack is less expensive than Teams. Slack doesn't include all the bells and whistles that Teams does. So you can go from a $6 license in Microsoft 365 to a $50 license per user per month, and there's a lot more you can do in the $50 license."
  • "I would rate the tool's pricing a four out of ten."
  • "The solution is cheap in my country."
