We performed a comparison between One Identity Active Roles and SailPoint IdentityIQ based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two User Provisioning Software solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."It's valuable to us in that it resembles the native tools that most people have grown accustomed to... Active Roles resembles traditional tools, such as from Microsoft. That is really good because it eases the way people interact with the tool."
"The most valuable features include auditing, dynamic grouping, and creating dynamic groups based on AD attributes."
"The AD and AAD management features of this solution are really good... They offer added value by showing more fields such as password age and the statuses of some things that we normally wouldn't see."
"In comparison to native Active Directory tools, using Active Roles for delegation is so much better. It uses an access template and that makes it easy to see who can access what. In fact, you can do that for many objects as well."
"Secure access is the most valuable feature."
"Having a tool to manage all changes to AD from a single pane of glass is awesome."
"Active Roles improved the management of users, groups, and AD objects in the organization."
"The provisioning and deprovisioning saves a lot of time and skips a lot of errors."
"I like IdentityIQ's granular attachment management and certification customization features."
"This solution is great for providing control access across your environment."
"A feature of SailPoint IdentityIQ that I like best is that it has good integration with other platforms. My company is using ADP here in Brazil, and SailPoint IdentityIQ works very, very well with it. My company is also using the solution for governance evaluation, segregation, and other access tests. For my company, SailPoint IdentityIQ is a very important solution, especially because it's automated, and there's a huge audit and risk issue here in Brazil."
"It offers a single source of truth. Everything can be handled from one tier."
"The community is very active and when I had questions about an issue, I was able to find the resources."
"This solution has improved our organization through its ease of application onboarding, approvals, provisioning, and lifecycle UI performance."
"The most valuable features of SailPoint IdentityIQ are the reporting because it is better than other solutions. The workflows can be customized to our requirements and the overall features are good."
"SailPoint has allowed us to ensure the right people have the right access and to the rights things."
"Another issue we have with the product is that we run a lot of custom tasks. You have to program them to run on one particular host and there's no automatic failover to a second host. If that host is down when a task is supposed to run, it has to wait until the next time it runs when that host is up."
"The way you can search groups could be better."
"It also has workflows and those are really powerful, but there are no built-in workflows. When it comes to them, it's empty. I would personally love for it to come with ten, 15, or 20 workflows where each achieves a certain task... I could just look at how each is done, clone them, copy them, modify them the way I want them, and be good to go. Right now we have to invent things from scratch."
"I've had a difficult time getting it to cooperate with Azure in the cloud and, while the support staff are very good and very knowledgeable, what they assist with just on a call doesn't go deep enough to help with a number of issues. The answer that comes back is that we'd have to start an engagement with Professional Services, which is fine but that takes time to schedule and it takes budget."
"In terms of improvement, it could be made even more user-friendly for administrators when they need to create new workflows and rule sets."
"For the AAD management feature, it needs to improve the objects that we can manage and the security."
"The initial setup was quite easy, but it was time-consuming. It took about three months."
"Most of the time it just works."
"The UI of the solution could be more customizable so we could change the workflows to suit our needs."
"Additional details during account aggregation failures to help quick troubleshooting."
"The advanced provisioning features require more improvement."
"The user interface is not very user-friendly."
"The report functionality and dashboard of the access manager could be improved."
"I would like to see more Cloud management from this product."
"The connectors are far too manual. This needs to be automated a bit."
"If you compare Saviynt and Okta Workforce Identity versus SailPoint IdentityIQ, SailPoint IdentityIQ needs to improve its UI."
