We performed a comparison between OpenText Robotic Process Automation and UiPath based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about UiPath, Microsoft, Automation Anywhere and others in Robotic Process Automation (RPA)."It lets us automate almost anything, even with the legacy tools. It is very easy for us now to automate with legacy tools, which used to be difficult earlier. We work with a lot of other automation tools from Micro Focus, such as Operation Orchestration, but these tools can only connect to the API. So, there was a gap when we wanted to automate older and legacy tools that didn't have any API to connect to. We can now also automate without any changes in the customer environment. We don't need to change anything in the way that the customer environment works."
"I am a developer, and I love the tool's easiness with features like drag and drop. The tool is ready to use with some minor updates."
"The core RPA is the best feature because of how easily we can get started. The other most valuable feature is DU or Document Understanding. It doesn't require huge setup and implementation times. When you look at a pure machine learning model, it requires a lot of expertise. Though UiPath is not purely plug-and-play, it's almost like plug-and-play because it can be up and running very quickly."
"UiPath is very user-friendly. There is ease of use. People can understand it very quickly."
"They are providing an architecture that is really amazing."
"Computer Vision using Microsoft and Tesseract are pretty useful."
"The most valuable feature is the UiPath Studio, the graphical coding software, which has high usability and modern appearance."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to stop the process after it has been started by an individual user."
"The object cloning in UiPath is a lot more consistent than Automation Anywhere. The consistency with which it captures the information that it's supposed to in order to do the rest of the process is probably the most useful component of the tool package."
"It currently supports only on-premises deployments. They can include support for cloud deployments. It should provide us the ability to choose a robot for executing a workflow. We want to control which robot executes a certain workflow. Right now, it automatically chooses the robot that is going to execute our workflow. It should also provide the ability to get filters on the outputs of the steps. We have each workflow as a step, and each step has some output. We would like to have the functionality to execute some script or some logic on these outputs to format the tests directly on the variables."
"When we have to capture some text from our invoices and from our notes and do some manual work, sometimes the tool doesn't extract the data in a precise way."
"UiPath can improve by enabling us to target specific use cases based on the departments within an industry, rather than just focusing on the industry itself."
"Compared to Blue Prism, UiPath presents greater difficulty in troubleshooting bugs."
"Some of the APA integrations are complicated and have room for improvement."
"If they had more development assistance, it would be helpful."
"They could make it more user-friendly."
"We have had some issues with StudioX."
"I had a problem with one thing, and that was exporting activities packages between the test server and the production server."
