Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Due to the fact that we can help our clients virtually, the solution has allowed us to reduce our travel costs by about 90%.""It's very easy to use, very easy to understand. It gives us remote access to the PC without any issues.""The initial setup is fairly straightforward.""Offers more security than TeamViewer, Google Remote Desktop, and Zoom. It's a stable, feature-rich solution that's easy to set up and easy to scale.""It's very easy to use. Provides connections that are always on. It was nice to be able to see a list of end-points and see whether or not they were connected so I could troubleshoot any network issues I had.""The product's two-factor authentication means we are not worried like before about the state of our security.""The remote management piece is the most valuable aspect of the solution for us due to the fact that we can support our clients after hours.""It is super easy to use and relatively inexpensive."

"WebEx provides the option to record the chat or delete it. You can also dial into the video on your mobile to communicate with the engineer or whoever. One aspect we like most is that the audio is clear. That is one of the most valuable features of WebEx.""I like Webex because it is easy to work with.""The tool alerts us when there are issues with our Kubernetes environment, such as excessive container usage. This allows our operations team to quickly identify and address these issues, reducing the time it takes to resolve them.""It is a valuable solution for virtual meetings.""The product's initial setup phase is very straightforward.""I like WebEx's stability and ease of use. The screen-sharing tools and audio controls are also nice.""The camera moves in tandem with the person who is using it to communicate with the other participants.""The most valuable features of the solution are communication, screen sharing, and collaboration."

Cons
"There is one back-end issue that I am running into at some of locations where I login to provide support, and sometimes port 443 is blocked. That is what it uses to connect. So, I am having to do workarounds to get a session started.""They could provide a toolbox for the plan I'm on.""I was not thrilled with their support. I do not have a lot of time to deal with the attention which is needed to fix issues.""The solution is a little bit complicated when you want to implement it.""Reporting could definitely use improvement. With LogMeIn Rescue, I used to be able to, for instance, at the end of the month, pull off a report of every session. It was very simple... I could see the name that was typed in, the IP address to the computer that it was connected to, if it was running Windows... It just doesn't seem - there might be but I haven't found it - to be a way of pulling that information out of ConnectWise.""Mobile interface.""Support for PAC files on the guest's side and support for proxy on the host's side. Currently, there is no support for guest-side PAC files or for the host-side proxy (which uses authentication).""The solution should add the ability to video chat with the user on the other end."

"Sometimes, the solution lags because of performance issues.""Nowadays, it is hard to set up meetings using Webex since it has become a complicated process.""The initial implementation was a bit difficult. If they could simplify that aspect of the solution, it would be helpful for future users.""The GUI of Webex should be improved. The connectivity for putting people inside the meetings or entering meetings is to be improved.""The connectivity can be improved because sometimes when we talk to clients that are overseas the connection is kind of poor. The video will be pixelated and we will need to turn off the video because the voice gets delayed.""Webex could improve by adding captions for the translation.""I think Webex could be improved by simplifying the process. For instance, they could make it easier to join meetings by providing a direct meeting link without requiring sign-ups or logins. While security is important, finding a balance with user-friendliness is key.""When it was just two people trying to conference, it was easier. But now I see there are times when many people have to be on the call at the same time. That's definitely something that Webex can help with."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Good price and works well."
  • "Their licensing model is good, their pricing model is good, their service is good; bandwidth is excellent. They're consistent."
  • "I think the product's pricing is a good value. I paid $600 a year and that was fine for me. It was about $50 a month. Licensing is all very straightforward."
  • "It is priced well and it is still a great value. Although I have been reading a lot about Splashtop. They are getting pretty competitive on their pricing, including a fairly easy to use remote support for mobile applications, like iOS and Android."
  • "Pricing is fair for Control and the licensing is simple."
  • "The cloud version is relatively inexpensive, but the on-premise version is expensive if you do not need three technicians, only one or two for concurrent sessions."
  • "It is priced fairly."
  • "Make sure you have enough licensing for all the techs that you have."

  • "I have recently switched to a different solution. WebEx is more costly. There are equivalent solutions at a lower cost."
  • "The price of the license depends a lot on the type of service required and whether it is for the entire company or only for a few users."
  • "Licensing is subscription-based and the cost varies depending on how many minutes are included in the plan."
  • "The pricing of this solution is fine and I am satisfied with it."
  • "Price is the one area where Webex needs to improve relative to its competitors. It's difficult to sell to small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) because of the license price."
  • "I believe the license to be monthly."
  • "There are no licensing fees."
  • "The price of the license for the solution could be less expensive."
