We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the Junos operating system.""There is no end to the ability to scale Juniper.""The Juniper EX Series's most valuable feature is its robustness. Additionally, it is easy to use and great GUI.""Juniper switches are smart and we have all the features that we want. You can rollback to the previous version if you make any mistake during configuration. This is not possible in Cisco.""Juniper Ethernet Switches' best features are the high packer sorting and throughput, good uplink port capacity, and virtual setup.""The feature I like the most is the ability to reword changes before committing to the change. We can always reword changes in 10 minutes if they don't work.""It is a highly stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine to ten out of ten.""The Virtual Chassis, because you have a centralized administration of a set of switches which makes the operation more efficient."

"I like that it's quite flexible and addresses different issues. It's quite easy to use, and the pricing is great. We find them to be very capable switches.""There are a lot of features to control permitting or stopping packets in the network.""A valuable aspect is its user-friendly configuration, making it accessible even for individuals with basic technical knowledge.""The interface management and the user access management is pretty good.""It is easy to set up.""The beauty of MikroTik is that you have flexibility with the routing parts.""Some of the most valuable features are the simplicity, cost, usability, and power. As a package, it's extremely effective.""The GUI is easy to use."

Cons
"Juniper Ethernet Switches' tech support is hard to reach and slow.""One potential drawback of the Juniper EX Series has been that those without experience using a command-line interface (CLI) may find it intimidating. However, Junos is working on improving this by offering tools, such as Juniper Mist with Wired Assurance and Apstra. Additionally, the graphical user interface (GUI) could be improved as it has been considered lackluster across the board in Junos.""The durability of the devices could be better.""The configuration could be made simpler.""Juniper EX Series Ethernet Switches is not cheap. The tool needs improvement in UI.""The management platforms for the network need improvement.""The initial setup for Juniper switches is complex. Juniper has a new program that solves that problem a little bit, but it is expensive, so I don't use it. It is Juniper Mesh, Juniper Wire, or something like that where you plug in a switch, and it goes out to their cloud, finds a config, and brings it down. So, you can do everything cloud-based, but there is a fee for that. It is expensive, so I've never used it. If we were starting, we would try to do something like that. It is more for a large enterprise for managing hundreds of switches versus what we're doing. They should make its price more cost-effective or include it for new or smaller companies.""The only issue that we have with Juniper Ethernet Switches is the firmware because it is not stable."

"The bulk efficiencies and the control of traffic could be a bit better.""In medium to large sectors, there's a necessity for managing aspects like proxy firewalls.""The solution does not yet offer a SaaS version.""It would be even better with a centralized management platform.""The user interface could improve and they should allow a license for IBS.""Antispam and antivirus features should be included in the future.""The port isolation and VLAN need to be improved.""There has to be more development in the OS. It's complex for this switch as compared to others like Cisco. For NetGear and Cisco, it's easy to adapt the VLAN concept but it should be simplified for MikroTik."
