We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The most valuable feature for us is the DNS-based protection.""It analyzes the domain security helps us implement the securest policy.""The weekly reportings are great. The investigation is super and the application management is equally great.""It's very stable, reliable and does its job.""What we like most is security and how easy it is to integrate with other appliances.""Provides dependable DNS monitoring of external devices.""The initial setup is very easy and takes only a few minutes.""Helps block personal email accounts."

"The support is excellent.""The other products that I have evaluated do not have the scalability options that McAfee has.""I found the solution to be stable.""The product has a very high rating from reviewers. It's a well-respected product.""In terms of their compatibility with major cloud providers, in terms of their abilities, capabilities, and features, they exceed everyone's capabilities in the CASB market.""It's an easy-to-use product.""Overall, the performance is good."

"The most valuable feature is the ease of management. It's important.""The most valuable feature is the seamless integration across different clouds.""All of the features are valuable because all of the features are related.""It is very easy to use, which is what we look for in these types of solutions.""We have become more aware of what services our users are using, how often they are using them, and what data is being sent out of the organization and to which services. So, it is really a lot about visibility and helping us make decisions based on that. It drives some of our policy decisions for adding extra security controls.""Better logging allows us to find problems and take appropriate steps to lock them out.""The feature that helps us in detecting the sensitive information being shared has been very useful. In addition, the feature that allows MCAS to apply policies with SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive is being used predominantly."

Cons
"This solution does not give us full, 360-degree protection.""I would like to see integration with SecurNX in the future.""The reporting could be improved by way of the information that's displayed. For example, when you pull a report, it shows an internal employee going to many websites, but you can spin that right down by saying a lot of it is being cached.""It has happened in the past that Cisco Umbrella has denied us access to secure websites.""In the next release, I would like to see the integration of VDI NSX with Cisco Umbrella.""They need to improve analytics so they report on more of the specifics of user activity.""Missing a real data leakage prevention solution.""Data reporting could be improved."

More Cisco Umbrella Cons »

"It needs to be more user-friendly, as it is a little bit complicated to use.""The solution is hard to configure, our team does not have specific training requirements for McAfee making it difficult.""There isn't really any aspect that is lacking.""One thing that can be improved is their ability to integrate with other web proxies to discover unsanctioned IP apps.""The pricing of the solution could be adjusted to make it more reasonable.""McAfee needs to add more products that could be managed from the cloud."

More McAfee MVISION Cloud Cons »

"Generally, the pricing can always be improved along with the management system.""The interface needs to be more user-friendly.""I would like for it to be available on Mac and for it to support all of the features of Microsoft financing products. It is really for Windows.""This service would be better if it had a separate license, only for this service, that could be used to track usage.""They should continue integration with all other Microsoft security-related products. The integration with all the other products is still ongoing.""In the future, I would like to see more plug-and-play capabilities that use AI to tell you what needs to be done. It would be helpful if it scanned our devices and made security suggestions, on a configuration basis.""It takes some time to scan and apply the policies when there is some sensitive information. After it applies the policies, it works, but there is a delay. This is something for which we are working with Microsoft."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"I am not sure, I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I think it's $1.00 or so per device/month.""Cisco uses subscription models for the pricing and there are three subscription plans.""The licensing part for Umbrella is really flexible.""There are three models for licensing with different feature sets.""I think it's worth the money.""The price of Cisco Umbrella is a little higher than similar solutions, like Gateway.""The price should be slightly lower than the current price because if you look at the whole solution, it is simply a threat intelligence solution to block blacklisted things. The price should be lower looking at the features provided by the solution. The price isn't too high either, but it could be lower.""There is a subscription cost."

More Cisco Umbrella Pricing and Cost Advice »

"This is an expensive product, but you have to compare that with other solutions that are on the market.""This is an expensive product, although it is made for larger enterprises and not for small organizations.""The price of the solution is good and we pay an annual license."

More McAfee MVISION Cloud Pricing and Cost Advice »

"We have an educational licensing agreement. It's a customer agreement for multiple years.""This product is not expensive.""Our clients normally use the Microsoft E1 licensing, which is renewed yearly.""The pricing is a little bit high but right now, we are okay with it because of the compatibility with Office 365, Teams, and Azure AD.""I'm not totally involved in the pricing part, but I think its pricing is quite aggressive, and its price is quite similar to Netskope. Netskope has separate licensing fees or additional charges if you want to monitor certain SaaS services, whereas, with MCAS, you get 5,000 applications with their Office 365. It is all bundled, and there's no cost for using that. You only have the operational costs. In the country I am in, it is a bit difficult to get people with the required skill sets."
