We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"To me, the most valuable feature of Clarity CA is the timesheet. It's the only feature I use because I just support the tool, and I just enter time on it. Others use Clarity CA for other purposes, such as resource management, project management, scheduling, and financials. The tool also has a fairly simple integration with other systems, so at the moment, it's working fine. I also like that you can write your own code in Clarity CA, and you can make changes to it based on your needs."

"What is great about the patch management solution, is that it patches OS, applications, browsers, plug-ins, and firmware updates.""Page management and ADA integrations are the most valuable features of ManageEngine Endpoint Central.""We use the product to know about our assets and manage remote support.""The solution's stability is better than the other solutions in the market.""The solution is time-saving and resource-saving.""It's a complete product that allows you to remote troubleshoot, has an inventory of systems.""The solution's most valuable features are its patch management capabilities, especially for third-party applications, along with quick and easy configuration and deployment processes.""The patch management aspect of the solution is the most valuable part for us."

"The most important thing for us is that it is very easy to use, as well as the availability of it in our support centers.""We can track the incidents, we can track the changes, we can track the assets from cradle to grave and give some kind of accounting as they get older.""The most valuable feature of Symantec Client Management Suite is the ease of client management and agent installation."

Cons
"What could be improved in Clarity CA is its UI, but I know the Clarity team is working on a new UI, so I'm expecting its UI to get better. The software also has too many functions, so it would be good if the functions or features could be split up, rather than needing to buy the whole Clarity CA package, when you'll only use a few of its functions. This increases the cost of the software, so that's another area for improvement. How Clarity CA is marketed could also be improved."

More Clarity CA Cons →

"ManageEngine could be improved by giving customers an option to perform certain actions proactively. Since I was a consultant, I worked on different products and some had advantages over ManageEngine. For example, proactive remediation—you want to proactively check something on the computers and run the script. In ManageEngine, you have the option to run the script, but Intune has the option to do so proactively. ManageEngine doesn't have this. You should have the option to act proactively, not just going ahead and fixing it once it's done. Proactive remediation should be a feature.""I would like to see them come out with a SaaS version of the product in the future.""The OS deployment could be better.""I would like to see more click to complete actions such as - USB lockdown for Mac, the ability to check AV compliance on servers, bit locker controls, printer tracking or print page tracking, self-help for self-healing like "BMC my IT" and more options in the self-service menu other than just software - maybe add integration in ADSelfService at the self-service menu.""We are looking for a complete solution for patch management with central management and the cloud which ManageEngine Endpoint Central does not provide.""Improvement of the chats on the web communication through the WAN would be helpful.""I would like to have the option to install the agent remotely.""Documentation could improve so we don't need to create the support requests first."

More ManageEngine Endpoint Central Cons →

"Some parts are working okay, some of the other components aren't. Workflow isn't working properly. Different people accepting changes and being able to close it has some issues. Putting hot fixes and installing it usually breaks the system.""The technical support is in need of improvement.""Symantec Client Management Suite can improve by adding more network devices."

    Reviews from Real Users

PeerSpot user, Sr Engineer Administrator at a university, says that "Its cross-platform capabilities and the ability to do both OS-level patching and third-party patching are valuable. It is difficult to find a software product that will do all that for you out of the box, and you don't have to do any configuration other than your initial setup. Once you do that, there is a very minimalistic approach to getting it operational. You can have it up and running within a 20-minute time span."

Park Armstrong, Chief Technical and Solution Architect at Vertigo Inc., writes that ManageEngine Endpoint Central is “Helpful for identifying and filling the gaps and meeting compliance needs, but each of their product works as an independent product and lacks integration”.
