Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution integrates well with other solutions, which makes it really strong as a primary solution to deploy.""Citrix Hypervisor does a great job overall, such as the virtualization of the host. It's very easy to manage the virtual machine, to create, and configure high availability.""Installing Hypervisor is really simple. It's the simplest setup I've ever done before. We used a team to deploy it, and it doesn't take much time, like two or three hours tops.""I've found the following features to be the most valuable: user personalization layer, app layering, provisioning, and notification services for integration between different domains.""The support for this solution is phenomenal.""The initial setup is easy.""The solution is extremely user friendly.""This solution allows the end users to clone, start, stop, or remotely control their VMs."

"I would rate the stability a ten out of ten.""The most valuable aspect of this solution is that you don't need to pay for it, it's free, as opposed to paying for a VMware license.""The most valuable feature is the integration between storage and compute services.""The solution is user-friendly and provides good virtual machine backups. The user interface gets updated when there is a new release.""If we want to move the virtual machine from one host to another, it's simple, straightforward, and stable.""The most valuable feature of Nutanix AHV Virtualization is the user-friendly environment. The integration, implementation, and training for the solution are good.""You don't need any other instruments for control, AHV. You only need to look at the prism to control all infrastructure.""The solution scales very well."

Cons
"Citrix Hypervisor is expensive if you get it as a stand-alone product, so this is one area for improvement. Its price could be cheaper. We also found other areas for improvement in Citrix Hypervisor, for example, we can't use SCIM provisioning, and there are limitations to the size of the HDD. Another area for improvement is the pass-through storage, in particular the removable storage, because that also has limitations where you can't connect to the drive if it is more than one TB.""I find that the features in Citrix Hypervisor are not as rich as with VMware. It would be a benefit if they had some of the other features VMware has, such as the ability to expand a drive on the fly. You do not have to take down the machine to do it but in Citrix you do.""It needs to have a more robust backup solution.""The solution would benefit from faster technical support.""Citrix is not investing in the virtual surroundings.""The interface has to be updated.""It needs improvement with the security features.""I think the technical support could be better."

More Citrix Hypervisor Cons →

"Adding even more integrations would be an improvement.""They need to work on the deployment of virtual machines. They need to streamline the process of templates and deploying virtual machines.""The software based controller has high consumption. This could be improved.""It would be better if the solution's replication to another site could be efficiently optimized.""A lot of tasks cannot be performed using the GUI, the graphical interface.""There is room for improvement in the USB mapping.""In the next release of this solution, I would like to see support for containerization.""It's not a very scalable product."
