LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform that offers video courses related to topics such as technology, business, and creative skills. There are more than 13,000 on-demand courses and, after signing up, users receive personalized recommendations based on the data analyzed from their LinkedIn profiles.

Learners are able to access the content through the web or their mobile devices, and can benefit from courses led by industry experts with real-world experience. Each LinkedIn Learning course is separated into short chapters in order to provide learners with quick answers to business-related issues.

LinkedIn Learning lets users track their courses through an easy-to-use interface where they can share the courses they're taking with their organization, see their in-progress courses, save the ones they are interested in for the future, and keep track of their learning history. Users are able to add skills they are interested in developing and, after each completed course, add the skills they have acquired. The courses allow LinkedIn users to take assessments and post their success on their profiles.

LinkedIn LearningFeatures

LinkedIn Learning offers its users various features to assist them in developing their business skills and knowledge. Some of these include:

  • Viewing courses: Users can search and view content that is specifically catered to them, share their courses with their professional network on LinkedIn, and use advanced filters for better search results.

  • Learning paths: Learners can benefit from the learning paths feature, which allows them to learn information and skills more efficiently. This feature compiles playlists of course videos that are based on a specific skill or topic. The playlists are structured in a way that provides all the essential information about this topic, in the correct learning order.

  • Assessment: An important feature of LinkedIn Learning is the option for users to test the knowledge and skills that they have acquired. There are three options available: “exercise files” used by learning instructors to teach, “notes “to add more clarity to the learning material, and “assessments” at the end of each chapter in the form of a quiz, helping users review what they've learned so far. The quizzes can be taken while the course is going or afterwards, and there is a way to track progress for each learner.

  • Q&A: Through the questions and answers feature, learners can receive clarity on the eLearning process and courses from the course instructors. Members of the LinkedIn Learning community can assist one another by answering these questions.

LinkedIn LearningBenefits

LinkedIn Learning offers various benefits to LinkedIn learners. Some of these include:

  • Customized content recommendations based on the user's activity
  • Learning groups grouped by ability for interaction during courses
  • Add new skills and completed courses on your LinkedIn profile
  • On-demand access to courses
