Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We like Elastic Security because it's a REST API-based solution. That's the primary reason we use it.""One of the most valuable features of this solution is that it is more flexible than AlienVault.""The stability of the solution is good.""The solution is quite stable. The performance has been good.""The most valuable feature is the ability to collect authentication information from service providers.""It is very quick to react. I can set it to check anomalies or suspicious behavior every 30 seconds. It is very fast.""The scalability is good. It can be scaled easily in the production environment.""I like the indexing of the logs."

"The most valuable feature is the multi-cloud integration, where there is support for both GCP and AWS.""Google's technical support is very good.""The features that I have found most valuable are its graphs - if I need any statistics, in Kubernetes or Kong level or VPN level, I can quickly get the reports.""We find the solution to be stable.""Our company has a corporate account for Google Cloud and so our systems and clusters integrate really well.""The cloud login enables us to get our logs from the different platforms that we currently use.""Provides visibility into the performance uptime.""It's easy to use."

Cons
"It would be better if Elastic Security had less storage for data. My customers do not like this. Other vendors have local support in different countries, but Elastic Security doesn't. I would like to have Operational Technology (OT) security in the next release.""The solution could also use better dashboards. They need to be more graphical, more matrix-like.""If you compare this with CrowdStrike or Carbon Black, they can improve.""With Elastic Security, the challenge arises from the fact that there is a learning curve in relation to queries and understanding the query language provided to extract usable data.""The Integration module could be improved. It is a pain to build integration with any product. We have to do parking and so on. It's not like other commercial solutions that use profile integration. I would also see more detection features on the SIEM side.""In terms of what could be improved with Elastic, in some use cases, especially on the advanced level, they are not ready made, so you'll have to write some scripts.""One thing they could add is a quick step to enable users who don't have a solid background to build a dashboard and quickly search, without difficulty.""Elastic Security has a steep learning curve, so it takes some time to tune it and set it up for your environment. There are some costs associated with logging things that don't have value. So you need to be cautious to only log things that make sense and keep them around for as long as you need. You shouldn't hold onto things just because you think you might need them."

"This solution could be improved if it offered the ability to analyze charts, such as a solution like Kibana.""The product provides minimal metrics that are insufficient.""It is difficult to estimate in advance how much something is going to cost.""It could be more stable.""Lacking sufficient operations documentation.""The logging functionality could be better.""While we are satisfied with the overall performance, in certain cases we must add additional metrics and additional tools like Grafana and Dynatrace.""It could be even more automated."
