Huawei's unified communications solution is based on cutting-edge architecture, the solution not only provides open interfaces but a wide range of services. It is also very robust in terms of its maintainability. The solution basically consists of the following parts: a VoIP-based integrated switch SoftCo 9500/5816, a unified message server (SmartCall 1000), subscriber access equipment IAD, ET series IP phone terminals, a network element management system, a service management system, a billing management system, and etc. In addition, the solution provides a wide variety of unified communications services.
Kamailio is an Open Source SIP Server released under GPL, able to handle thousands of call setups per second. Kamailio can be used to build large platforms for VoIP and realtime communications Ð presence, WebRTC, Instant messaging and other applications. It can also easily be applied to scaling up SIP-to-PSTN gateways, PBX systems or media servers like Asterisk, FreeSWITCH or SEMS.
