Pros

"Very easy to use on any platform and works well.""The stability is excellent because it is easier for us to connect to the cloud rather than connecting to MSSP.""The product is quite stable. The performance is great and it's reliable.""The backup solution in Azure is great, the firewall settings in SQL are very easy to use and work very well. Additionally, the turning process is very good and has improved the SQL services and queries.""We have come from hosting on-premise for customers, or they've done it themselves with SQL. We've now taken a cloud offering for the equivalent services of standard database management and the inbuilt backup and restore offerings. The scalability is probably the biggest feature that we are benefiting from by being in the cloud.""We have multiple applications running for our customers that we can integrate into Azure SQL.""The most valuable aspects of this solution are the integration with the darknet stack especially Microsoft, table groups, supports major capability requirements, and SQL always-on feature.""The administration console in Azure, all in one is the most valuable feature."

Cons
"I would give their support a ten if they had more tutorials available."

More IBM Db2 on Cloud Cons →

"I feel that the price is high and it could be reduced.""Lacking in technical documentation.""I need something which is in one place so I can automate the Azure data factory, but it's a different tool. It's not easy and in one place, so I can't switch to the other tool and do something there, automate everything there in the on-prem infrastructure, and then have everything in the agent. I can just pick one packet and use it. However, I want to be able to click it and run it.""The solution could improve by allowing the export of the data more seamlessly. It is difficult to copy and back up data.""From a security perspective, although their features are decent, they can always be improved upon, updated, and refined to help protect clients better.""Some issues with scalability.""The default 1433 port for communication should be customizable because most hacks or attacks are attempted when creating any application or database on the default port.""They should include more accessible functions for image tooling."

  • "The licensing for this solution is based on subscription."
  • "We pay less than $1000 monthly in licensing fees. There are no additional costs."
  • "It is expensive for us. We are looking for something less expensive and thinking of migrating the whole system."
  • "It is reasonable."
  • "It is quite expensive. I would definitely recommend not using the pay-as-you-go model because this will just mean all your money will go to Microsoft. So, really make sure to control resource usage as much as possible."
  • "It's reasonably priced and when you compare it with other products in the cloud environment, it's cheaper."
