We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"You can also schedule and run data quality on the critical data elements on the databases.""What's most useful in IBM Infosphere Information Analyzer is you can access it from anywhere. It's also pretty easy to learn, so even non-technical business people use it and found the solution easy to learn."

"The solution is stable.""I give the stability a ten out of ten.""It is very useful for testing purposes and designing mappings for small projects. If you go for IDQ in the mapping itself, you can see the data. You can then correct it, and test it so easily. It is working fine. It is also stable, scalable, and easy to deploy.""We use it for various use cases, including data provisioning, data validation, continuous monitoring of data quality, and data standardization.""The profiling feature in Informatica Data Quality is incredibly effective for data governance.""The most valuable features are data quality, data integrate transformations, match-merge, and a few MDM solutions we build into data quality transformation.""I like the connectivity and richness of features for the technical team, the maturity of the product, and that it had a cloud version. There is Informatica Cloud, and it is part of the Informatica Cloud platform.""The solution is applicable for both technical and business users."

Cons
"The solution is outdated and is not on cloud.""What could be improved or added to IBM Infosphere Information Analyzer is more connectors. This solution comes in a package with IBM InfoSphere DataStage and is missing a lot of connectors to various, new data sources, so IBM needs to work on that area. Compared with competitors such as Informatica and Alation which acquired other small companies to work on the connectors, IBM has not done any testing and has tried to develop the connectors in-house, but that's taking a lot of time. As a result, my company is unable to connect to a lot of data sources, particularly modern data sources."

"Considering internal data from legacy systems, it is quite difficult to know if Informatica Data Quality meets that high level of accuracy criteria.""One area that could use improvement is the speed of the web interfaces. At present, they are very slow. I think it is essential that we are original and robust on-premises.""Although we are very satisfied with the design of the UI, executing tasks with it can be difficult.""I would like to see better visuals for business users, such as a dashboard where they can precisely track where problems are.""There is room for improvement in the Data Marketplace aspect.""The customer servive and support could be faster. There is a slow turnaround.""The tools required to migrate existing mappings and server rules through cloud data quality are not available.""Exploring the possibility of incorporating AI capabilities that can suggest additional rules would significantly streamline our data analysis process following data profiling."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "For the licensing cost of IBM Infosphere Information Analyzer, I have no information on the exact cost, but as it's bundled with other IBM products such as IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog and IBM InfoSphere DataStage, the bundle is expensive when compared to competitor pricing."

  • "Informatica is very expensive."
  • "I rate the product's pricing a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is the lowest price and ten is the highest price."
  • "The price is high, but the competitors are even higher, like Collibra."
