We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We use the product to track events and monitor logs of servers and workstations. I am impressed with the tool's tracking ability. It is intuitive and easy to use.""The Account Lockout Analyzer and the Inactive Users reports are particularly valuable.""The most valuable feature of ManageEngine ADAudit Plus is its reports.""ADAudit Plus's best features are that it's very easy to use with a user-friendly interface, and it gives reports on group policy and object changes that we couldn't find in any other product.""The most valuable feature is the control of the file server.""I like the user behavior analytics (UBA). It's a machine learning feature that creates a standard profile for each user when you install it. It creates a baseline for every user, so it can detect when anyone deviates from that standard baseline profile. For example, if a user typically logs in at 9:30 am and logs out at 6 pm, ADAudit will flag it as an anomaly when that same logs in after normal hours and alert the admins.""The monitoring and reporting are extensive and we get all the information we need while they continue to enhance the capabilities of the product.""It assists in managing the active directory and modifying the reintegrated GPOs."

"Simplicity is the most valuable part of OneLogin.""When it comes to access management, the solution's single pane of glass is extremely important. The single pane of glass for access management enables collaborative work between IT and security. We have access to certain applications that require device trust. Based on the role, we can access those applications through OneLogin Desktop.""Ease of integration with AD.""The most valuable feature is the ease with which we can manage the sign-on feature.""OneLogin is efficient.""Once I made the OneLogin ID, it would essentially make user names and passwords for every application that we had.""Documentation.""It's super useful to have a single pane of glass when it comes to access management."

Cons
"Sometimes the developers in technical support take time.""Its configuration can be better. There were 44 pages of documented notes of what I had to do to get the product to work during the installation process.""It assists in managing the active directory and modifying the reintegrated GPOs.""The solution should include more details on file creation and modification. It also needs to have a quick message for troubleshooting problems which needs to be detailed and generic.""ADAudit Plus can be very tricky, especially if we need to do some high-availability configuration or distributed environment installation.""ADAudit could have a more sophisticated interface design. They are using a plain UI, which is decent. However, customers have said that it looks a little flat compared to other vendors. It's not fancy.""The solution's managing file server activity could be improved.""There are so many reports that it sometimes makes it difficult to navigate to what you need."

"More off-hour support.""I'd like OneLogin to have a customization section that displays the company's offerings, categorized by different topics.""OneLogin offers a Virtual LDAP feature that we utilize, although it differs slightly from traditional LDAP servers.""To offboard, you have to manually click on this checklist, each of the checkmarks. It would actually be really nice if, for offboarding someone, you just click "offboard" and it automatically runs a script to do that.""This product doesn't necessarily provide us with all of the functionality that we need, such as being able to share passwords with external users.""While I initially used OneLogin's desktop feature to extend SSO, I discontinued it two years ago due to limitations.""We've been experiencing some pain points since the acquisition. For example, there have been some outages we didn't see previously, which are a big topic with my executive team. You have hundreds of applications relying on this service for login. If the service is unavailable, nobody can log into these applications.""I would like better reporting from SmartFactor Authentication when a user is not able to sign in due to a new location, new IP, new device, et cetera."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Adding features and other functionality it costs you more. Also, the first installation costs an additional amount."
  • "ADAudit Plus's pricing is affordable and flexible, with very low prices in the market."
  • "My guess is that it was around $4,000 or $5,000 a year, and we bought a license, and then we have maintenance fees. I'm not 100% sure how that worked out."
  • "It's a medium-priced solution."
  • "The solution's pricing is acceptable."
  • More ManageEngine ADAudit Plus Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Surprisingly expensive given the price of on-premise solutions."
  • "The pricing for OneLogin seems to be okay. The pricing and licensing are affordable. If you'd consider OneLogin to be expensive, it's worth it."
  • "The price of the licensing is fine."
  • "The pricing and licensing are reasonable. It is much cheaper than other products."
  • "We were happy with the price we got when we signed up, but I don't know what will happen when the time comes to renew because it is a different company now. We haven't seen any pricing models or had that discussion yet. My renewal is a year and a half away. It's worth what we're paying for it. There's no way we could provide the level of service for cheaper or try to do the same in-house."
  • "OneLogin's pricing, from the perspective of the education sector, seems quite reasonable for the value it delivers."
  • "While I wish OneLogin's pricing was more affordable, their licensing model, which is based on per user, is acceptable."
  • "It was cheap in the beginning, and then it became very expensive. We were initially charged $2 per user per month, which was fine, but by the second year, they increased it to $5 per user. That became very expensive for us because we had about 1,500 users. At $2 per user, it comes out to be $3,000 a month, which is $36,000 a year. If we move to $5 per user, it comes out to be $7,500 a month. That made its cost so high. That is why we removed the product because the cost was high."
