We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"This intelligent user behavior analytics package is easy to configure and use while remaining feature filled.""It's straightforward in terms of configuration and troubleshooting and log management and monitoring as well. These are the edge points in addition to it being a modular solution where you can capitalize on your current licenses with extra licensing models, which can match the customer's business requirement and it can help the customer to design or to actually plan for their own roadmap.""The most valuable feature is the ability to search through a large amount of data.""Because of some of the visualizations that we utilize, we are able to understand strange, unusual traffic on our networks.""The most valuable features are its data aggregation and the ability to automatically identify a number of threats, then suggest recommended actions upon them.""It is a solution that helps test and measure customer satisfaction.""We are really pleased with Splunk and its features. It would be practically impossible to function without it. To provide a general overview of the system, it's important to note that the standard log files are currently around 250 gigabytes per day. It would be impossible to manually walk through these logs by hand, which is why automation is essential.""It's easily scalable."

"You don't need any hardware because the solution is on the cloud. I like that Trend Micro TippingPoint Threat Protection System is easy to install and manage.""The monitoring is the most valuable feature.""For intrusion detection and mitigation, it has helped us in sort of known signatures and all sorts of things. So, we're very happy with the engine. That's the work.""A standout feature of TippingPoint is its strong integration with various solutions. It stands out as one of the leading network Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) in the current market and is known for its seamless integration with other solutions. For instance, when it identifies a potential threat within the traffic stream, it meticulously analyzes the data. Even in multilayer security scenarios, Tipping Point's network IPS can serve as a bypass for the basic firewall. If a threat is identified by Tipping Point, it promptly shares this information with the other systems. This ensures that they're updated and can employ the necessary solutions from their signature databases. The entire network gets safeguarded automatically. This integration extends to components like security and FX. This linkage streamlines our operations, offering a consolidated point of control for managing threats effectively.""It integrates easily.""The IPS signatures and the IPS database that are given are much better than what is commonly available.""I would rate TTPS's stability eight out of ten.""The technical support on offer is very good."

Cons
"There are occasional bugs.""We'd like the ability to do custom searches.""It could be easier to scale the solution if you are using it on-premise, not in the cloud.""We want to have an automated system for bot hunting that enables us to detect anomalies predictively based on historical data. It would be helpful if Splunk included process mining as an alternative option. We have a threat workflow, but it would be useful if we could supplement that with some process mining capabilities over time.""The solution is much more expensive than relative competitors like ArcSight or LogRhythm. It makes it hard to sell to customers sometimes.""In the future I would like to see simplified statistics and analytical threats.""Currently, a lot of network operations need improvement. We still need people to handle incidents. Our vision is to leverage status and convert it directly from the network devices. It would be ideal if we could take action using APIs and API code and remove manual processes.""The correlation engine should have persistent and definable rules."

"It takes a lot of time before you're connected to an engineer, so an area for improvement in Trend Micro TippingPoint Threat Protection System is the response time of its technical support team.""Price is a significant factor that requires attention to enhance the popularity of Tipping Point among mid-sized data centres. Currently, Tipping Point is primarily adopted by sizable data centres, and smaller defenders might find it financially challenging to acquire. Recognizing this, efforts are underway to potentially introduce diverse models with varying capacities. This adjustment aims to ensure that a broader range of data sizes can benefit from the solution. Also, the continuous evolution of Tipping Point is evident in its features, particularly the personalized dashboard and related aspects.""We need more integration. It would be good if Azure IPS and TippingPoint IPS and other products from Trend Micro like their DBI and IWSVA could talk between each other.""The firewall rules are limited.""Trend Micro TippingPoint Threat Protection System needs strong Spanish-language support.""TTPS is a bit behind in visuals, the UI, and some data elements.""An area for improvement in Trend Micro TippingPoint Threat Protection System is the complexity of its interface.""There is room for improvement in customer service and support."
