IDE is slow and buggy, Autocomplete being especially bad

What is most valuable?

Running queries, because that's kinda important.

How has it helped my organization?

It hasn't.

What needs improvement?

The IDE is slow and, now, very buggy, Autocomplete being especially bad.

For how long have I used the solution?

Years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Lots.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Probably, but that's a big question.

How are customer service and technical support?

Poor.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Yes. I switched because SQL Developer was still in its infancy.

How was the initial setup?

Complex. Despite requiring a key which only allows specific features, the installer still asks you to select all the features (from a big list), instead of hiding what you cannot have.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It's way overpriced, even if it wasn't the buggy product it has become. Honestly, Toad for Oracle needs to die; SQL Developer is much better than it was.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Yes, SQL Developer, Tora, SQL Plus.

What other advice do I have?

Don't, really don't.
