About me
My objective is to drive the use of the best technologies to enhance sustainability, collaboration and underpin Lendlease's aim to "Create the Best Places".
I am currently leading ICT infrastructure architecture for Lendlease in Sydney, Australia, following 3 years focusing on design and implementation strategy for IT infrastructure into Lendlease's property products and assets.
Prior to this as Lendlease's Technology Architect in the UK, I drove the EMEA Data Centre Transformation project and a fixed/mobile telecoms strategy review, leading to a move to a managed infrastructure Data Centre model and a managed telecoms service provider, achieving £1m savings per annum in telecom costs and enabling infrastructure engineers to invest their time focusing on customers instead of fire-fighting infrastructure system failures.
Prior to this I spent 8 years as an independent consultant offering IT & Communications design, integration and project management services, with highlights being:
- scoping, budgeting, designing, procuring and managing the deployment of a flexible multi-tenant voice/data/print solution to support the construction phase of the London Athletes Village, used by around 800 employees and supply chain partners, under-pinned by high-speed Wide-Area radio network technologies
- design and delivery of technology for several Building Schools for the Future (BSF) school schemes
- being technical and security advisor to a team managing the divestiture of a multinational consultancy division.
Other experience:
- 10 years experience in the City of London in corporate environments (lastly as EMEA IT Manager for Bloomberg LLP).
- 2 years as head of Network Team for a global property & construction group
- 6 years experience in specialist manufacturing engineering (electronics, electrical and mechanical control systems).
