Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature of the solution is taking snapshots while doing the execution of the test cases.""The solution is 100% scalable. It's much more scalable than the customer's capacity for implementing it. We do plan to increase usage ourselves.""The product has all the features that we for application managementat a lower cost.""The most valuable feature is the Business Process Testing feature, BPT, because it brings in the most revenue."

"The transparency it allows us to provide, both from the team level all the way through the executive level within the company and the work that we are doing.""It helps me evaluate teams' historical performance using velocity charts.""Helps me determine how fast I can launch, go to production.""It allows us to work in a more dynamic fashion and track more of the development lifecycle.""The most valuable features of Rally Software are the executive dashboards, ease of use, and many other features. They have encapsulated everything that a GI can do, such as monitoring, maintaining, and then releasing. It's continuous integration and development.""The Defect feature. In one view you can see all your defects and you can push them into the different releases.""It's designed around Agile, so it has all of the pieces that match up with the process.""The most valuable features are in-line editing, easy custom view setup, intuitive and helpful visuals (e.g., contextual formatting) and the collaboration features."

Cons
"The pricing should be more competitive.""What I'm missing from the solution is a repository for the code. Something like Git, for example. Some sort of depository for the code that is embedded.""It is difficult to gain experience with the product because resources and documentation for learning are not available.""In the next release, I would like to have a repository for the code which is embedded. Apart from that, it has everything I need."

"I think the interface could be a little bit more visual and less wordy. Right now, it seems like it's just a lot of text on the page. In other ticketing systems where it's more visual, you can see more of a flow. But in this one it's more just a list of tasks. I would like to see that a little bit better, especially considering it has so many great organizational features, like child tasks, different artifacts. It would be great to see it presented more appropriately.""The stronger CA can get on dependency mapping the better. That's the biggest hiccup. As you're setting up your features, they should make it easier to flag the dependencies, either across features or across projects. Then you're more set up for success.""I think there is a missing link with the development activity. Some developers are pushing in new versions of the code, but you cannot make the link from the user story to a specific application version.""It requires better scalability for the implementation of the whole suite. We do not use it in that fashion, and visibility is sometimes a problem.""Customization features may not be exposed or unavailable, so people may be looking for them. So, customization is an area people have told me is more desirable.""We'd like better dashboards to make visibility better.""I think there needs to be some simplification. The team-level side can be challenging and complicated.""Rally Software is highly complex, and it takes some effort to get everything tied together. But once you do, it's a satisfying experience, and the result looks beautiful. Azure, ServiceNow, and Jira do not have all the features that Rally Software provides in one place, making it an exceptional tool for project management."
