We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product helps us track activities, address complaints, and make improvements.""The sorting of the data is the best feature of Airtable. In a Google sheet I have to insert some data and Airtable provides the default option of doing it automatically.""The product is very easy to use and flexible.""Airtable's ability to bring people from different teams and geographies together into say a master calendar, with complete control over who sees what when and in what format, is highly beneficial for communications organizations.""The scripting extension enhances the things that you can do with Airtable.""The relations and multiple-choice options are the most valuable features. For example, if I have one client but multiple projects in the same client, it's much easier to map it with Airtable than if I use a Google Sheet. The relationship between interfaces is a key feature that I use very often.""The product helps us track activities, address complaints, and make improvements.""I am impressed with the tool's continuous improvement. Every six months we get to see a completely different product. You can build a new product using no-code applications. We are able to scale up with the product."

"I like the ease of customization from an admin perspective. I'm really excited about some of the things that are coming in version 10.0.3 as far as what admins are able to do.""There are so many different pieces of functionality, and we use almost every single piece from deployment to demand, project, resource, and time management.""The portfolio management and the resource management are the key features.""Micro Focus PPM is flexible and easy to use. It's simple to customize and configure workflows.""Overall, they have a very strong workflow management capability. That's a very strong feature because then you can model any process easily. Whether it is a demand management process, a pipeline management process, or your project delivery methodology, it is much easier because of their workflow management capability.""Resource management: The resource management module is very complete and covers most of the time all needs of customers.""It is very important that the platform gives us a single place where we can measure progress toward goals, as we have weekly meetings with the CTO. We present these consolidated overviews and dashboards to him so that he has an overview of all the projects and can see the status of all the problems that we have and we are working on.""It's a very detailed tool. As far as an enterprise is concerned, it gives you the flexibility to manage everything: portfolios, projects, finances, proposals, resources, and time... It takes care of even the minor details that need to be captured. The project management functionality is configured really well within the tool. That stands out."

Cons
"The user interface should be more intuitive.""The template library is huge. I have a few suggestions with respect to that. But to complete automation, I think a bit more documentation around that would be really helpful because there are a lot of features in that which common people explore them less""Airtable needs improvement with the loading speed. It takes a lot of time to load.""Reporting, specifically anything involving exports, could be improved.""It'd be nice if the record limit of 50,000 record limit per base on pro accounts were substantially higher.""They should allow us to duplicate the data to share it with others.""The tool has changed the syncing time between the tables which has affected our multiple systems. I would like the product to add more calls per second to the API. It also needs to improve data storage. The tool starts to have problems after having huge amounts of data.""The interfaces provided by the company have certainly undergone significant improvements since their earlier versions. The growth and progress have been remarkable. I have personally shared numerous feedback points and observed the prompt implementation of changes within a few months, which is highly commendable. However, I must admit that I have encountered several challenges with their interfaces."

"Portfolio scenarios: This is a very powerful feature. However, it’s limited to analyses.""Micro Focus PPM should be less dependent on coding. It could also benefit from some updates to the software architecture. These have been on the roadmap for years now, but they haven't been released.""The solution can sometimes be a little inflexible and a bit caustic.""I was not involved in the initial setup. I know that the project involved a lot of consulting that took a long time.""Sometimes features in PPM don't work as expected, or our users request a new feature. Typically, our partner vendor can deploy those changes. But there have been a few instances when we had to raise it with Micro Focus because it's beyond the ability of our partner vendor. When we raise the issue with Micro Focus, it sometimes takes time because it needs support from other customers using PPM, not just our bank. It goes through a voting system. Other customers need to vote for the feature. The features that get the most votes will possibly be added.""There are some limitations when it comes to attaching receipts. For example, if we are going to buy some non-labor-related assets such as hardware, we are not able to attach the receipts in the Financial Management module in version 9.41.""We had a couple of issues with stability or performance degradation about a year ago, around the time of the initial rollout. Since then, we've only had two unexpected outages that were quickly resolved.""They can make its UI better. Currently, the UI is a bit clunky."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The tool's pricing is based on the number of users. The product's pricing is okay for personal use. For large organizations, pricing can be a pain. As per the first-rate plan, you need to pay 10 USD per user. The next plan would cost you 20 USD per user. If you are looking for enterprise-type plans, then you need to contact the sales team."
  • "The product is a little bit expensive."
  • "For basic usage, Airtable is an open-source tool but if you need premium features like script automation, then you need to pay for it. As my clients provide me access after buying the subscription I do not have much knowledge about pricing."
  • "We are utilizing the free version of the software, which adequately meets most of our requirements. As we explore the higher-end versions, we have noticed that the primary distinctions lie in the number of records and usage limitations. However, the free version offers comprehensive functionality, and the disparity between the free and paid versions is minimal, with only a few minor differences."
  • "The solution is not expensive."
  • "Airtable's pricing depends on the plan that you're on."
  • "The product would be expensive for customers with only one application or database."
  • "The product's price is good."

  • "Support and license management are two hurdles for us. Every time we purchase new licenses, it has taken us half a year to implement those."
  • "It is SaaS without a base fee."
  • "HPE PPM SaaS model is comprehensive, however, the base fee component has customer resistance to its recurring setup,"
  • "Now, we also received an increase in the support license prices, without any advanced notice. At this point, switching to unify all our licensing under HPE and customer support has been poor."
  • "We have an annual license, and it is fairly priced in comparison to that of other solutions."
  • "A large organization will find Micro Focus PPM affordable, but it may be a bit costly for a small or medium-sized company. The license is based on the number of users."
