We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"This solution gives me the full insight without having to use other products, metrics, or reporting tools.""It has significantly reduced the amount of manual work required to manage your backup operations. We're going from an on-prem to a non-on-prem, we're all doing nonsolutions. So we really can't compare it against anything else.""It's taken our backup from being a full-time job to being when you need it, set it up. Our users could be empowered to access their own data backups. Which means we can alleviate a lot of the administration from the backup administrator.""There's no impact on the endpoint. It runs in the background and it's something that you install and then forget about.""The compression and deduplication are great for optimizing bandwidth and speed. I don't have to worry about it or think about it, and, because it's a SaaS solution, I don't have to worry about the storage size.""In terms of the speed of backup, it operates seamlessly, so I'd rate it as excellent... with my daily use and workload, quite honestly I don't even notice when it backs up.""Integration with Active Directory and the Azure platform make it a complete solution.""It's very easy to set up the storage across all platforms. This allows us to be dynamic and change on-the-fly."

"The solution has an effective overwrite feature.""The most valuable feature is its ease of use.""The most valuable feature is the daily incremental site backup.""The replication in the recovery region is the most valuable feature.""When I was using an on-premises backup, there was an external hard drive or something like that. I had a backup server, but I had a few problems related to transfer when I had to restore something that I have deleted. I had to wait for after-office hours to do something like that, but now I just have to send a mail. Within one hour, I have my restored file."

"What I like most about Veritas SaaS Backup is that it is easy to work on.""The duplication is the solution's most valuable feature.""The solution's hardware appliance is very scalable and very useful.""I think the most important feature is the ability of SaaS Backup to cover all modules proposed by Office 365, because competing solutions don't cover the total scope.""The solution is stable; I haven't experienced any bugs or glitches on it.""It's a good solution. It's pretty stable.""The most valuable feature is that it is simple to use.""The most valuable features are the ease of administration and the ease of configuration."

Cons
"I would like to see some of the code execute a little bit better when I add new licenses and assign licenses to users. I'd like to see that information update a little quicker.""The navigation of it needs improvement in terms of the UX. The product itself, it works as expected. It's all user experience and user interface improvements that could be made and it could be made a little more consumer-friendly.""I would like to see more customizable reports. I have reports going right now, but the daily report, for example, shows something like 40 jobs that ran when there are just a few endpoints on there. I'd like to just know if the endpoint was successfully backed up, not how many times. More customizable reports would be nice to have.""The setup was a little bit difficult for a non-IT person like me. My OneDrive is protected by multifactor authentication, and to get the backup to begin behind that multifactor authentication took a little bit of almost customized support, even though I was following the instructions and the videos. That process could have been easier.""There is room for improvement in the Knowledge Base and error reporting. I would like to see best practices in the Knowledge Base, and have the ability to diagnose errors without contacting support."

More Metallic Cons »

"The notifications on the backup and on the mobile app could be more useful. If they could arrange notes or notifications properly and offer services for managing it in our region, it would be helpful for us.""One of the limitations of AWS Backup is that it only does file-based copying.""If AWS Backup were a hybrid solution that also supported on-premises backups then it would be very helpful, especially if you are doing a migration to the cloud.""This backup tool does the full backup of the entire snapshot server. I would like to have the option to not do the full server backup.""Only the price could be improved."

More AWS Backup Cons »

"The technical team wasn't very helpful.""The backup reports and the dashboard need improvement.""The implementation could be improved. The server setup is very easy, but some specific client implementation, for example, Oracle or SQL servers, are a little bit complicated. they should offer a bit more assistance with the setup for these particular items.""Currently, it isn't possible to use anything other than Veritas cloud to back up to. I think today it's important to cover the three major cloud provider: GCP, Azure and AWS.""The solution does lack a lot of features, and we're considering switching.""The usability of the solution isn't the best.""In the future, we would like to see support for virtualized machines.""Technical support can be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"I looked at this at the beginning of the year and I don't remember what the prices were for all the other services, but I thought that Metallic's was fair. It was also highly rated, which was even more important than cost because I need a reliable, secure, backup method."

More Metallic Pricing and Cost Advice »

"We don't use a lot of space, only approximately 900 GB, so the price is reasonable. For standing, it's okay. We normally do a payment to SSML, and they are the ones who pay over there. It is around $100 monthly."

More AWS Backup Pricing and Cost Advice »

"The program is quite expensive.""SaaS Backup isn't the most expensive solution.""This solution is not cheap and not expensive but priced in the mid-range."
