We performed a comparison between Barkly [EOL] and Sophos EPP Suite based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike and others in Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP)."he solution is an anti-malware product that integrates well with other vendor products such as firewalls, SIEM, etc. It captures threat intelligence and gives you better visibility. The product also has sandboxing features."
"I like FortiClient EMS. FortiEDR has a lot of great features like lockdown mode, remote wipes, and encryption. I can set malware outbreak policies and controls for detecting abnormalities. You can also simulate phishing attacks."
"Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance."
"Fortinet is very user-friendly for customers."
"It is stable and scalable."
"It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."
"Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance."
"The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure."
"Very easy to install and use."
"This product is quite stable and there are no problems with it."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to centrally manage the total security environment, including the firewall."
"Our experience with Sophos has been notable; it's database-driven and efficiently integrates to inspect and protect us against biases, malware, and attacks."
"The most valuable feature is endpoint detection and response."
"The most valuable feature is data loss prevention."
"What I like best about Sophos EPP Suite is that it's a good product. What's nice about it is that after I installed it on my computer, the tool detects and eliminates most of the problems, malware, and vulnerabilities. It works very well and is very efficient because it doesn't use up many resources from my computer. For me, Sophos EPP Suite is the best security and antivirus solution. In terms of its endpoint capabilities, I'm unable to comment on other Sophos security devices, but it seems Sophos EPP Suite has a next-generation firewall feature, though I didn't use it, and it may not be comparable to other next-generation firewalls. My current firewall is a next-generation firewall from Fortinet, and it's the best firewall for me in terms of cost and security, but for endpoint protection, I use Sophos EPP Suite, and it has the best security for my device. The tool is also good for organizations. It's the best tool."
"It is a scalable platform."
"The most valuable feature Sophos EPP Suite is that it protects the computer beyond the premise. Whether the user is at home, in the office, or traveling, you are able to apply the policies as the user moves."
"FortiEDR could add a separate scanning dashboard. In incident management, we prefer to remove the endpoint system from the environment and scan the system. We typically use Symantec for that, but if we want to use FortiEDR for that, then we need a scanning tab to clarify things."
"The solution's installation from a central installation server could be improved because the engineers had a little bit of trouble getting it installed from a central location."
"We'd like to see more one-to-one product presentations for the distribution channels."
"FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting."
"I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution."
"The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices."
"The solution is not stable."
"We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments."
"It lacks more sophisticated features and opportunity for customization."
"The solution’s performance could be improved for the end-users."
"The solution could improve on the resource management, it is a bit heavy on the resources."
"The solution needs to perform better or update its anti-ransomware and anti-malware engines to keep up with the latest hacking techniques."
"Sophos EPP Suite could improve by decreasing the number of resources it uses. There are other solutions that use one-fifth of the resources."
"The solution could be improved in terms of the performance of the appliances. Sometimes the appliances in the market can be quite large. Additionally, in comparison to other appliances, such as FortiGate, Cisco Firepower, or ASA, it could be improved in terms of package processing or traffic handling."
"The product should improve support and provide more scalable clustering."
"If you are not an IT expert, the solution is difficult to use."
"The product's resource utilization is a concern, especially regarding memory usage on systems with older specifications such as lower memory and less powerful processors."
