We performed a comparison between BeyondTrust Endpoint Privilege Management and Trellix Endpoint Security based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about CyberArk, Delinea, BeyondTrust and others in Privileged Access Management (PAM)."I find the comprehensive Privilege Access Management features valuable, including automation, and the ability to integrate with applications and the Windows operating system."
"BeyondTrust has very good integrations with quite a lot of security vendors such as SailPoint, IBM, FortiGuard, Splunk, etc."
"The most valuable feature is the asset discovery, which makes it very easy to locate and identify assets and pull them into the manager."
"Scalability is good. I would rate the scalability a nine out of ten."
"The solution's technical support is good."
"It has some features that other products don't have yet, differentiation that sets it apart in the marketplace... Those features are a centralized dashboard and the ability to issue and revoke entitlements within minutes. That makes a difference."
"The implementation is quite easy because the documents are always online."
"Reduces major vulnerabilities by removing local administrator privileges."
"It has a very simple like multi-tenancy option and scalability is outstanding."
"The solution is stable."
"The reporting capabilities are a valuable feature. In enables more visibility on our network."
"The performance is good."
"We like the management of the ePO, and we like the management console."
"It's easy to use and it's very powerful. It offers nice endpoint protection."
"The manageability of the product itself is its most valuable aspect. You have the underlying EPO, and on top of it, you can deploy the various components as you require. This is unlike other solutions like Symantec where you have to deploy everything or nothing. With this solution, you can choose to only deploy antivirus or only deploy a firewall, or only something else. I choose the components and that deployment is done through EPO. It makes manageability very flexible."
"We can manage everything from the central console and it is very easy."
"A valuable enhancement could be the capability to deploy agents directly through the console."
"They are doing good for now, but they should start to consider tight integration with Mac solutions. There should be more integration with Mac. There should be Active Directory (AD) Bridging. Thycotic and Centrify have it currently because they merged and joined forces, and it was a feature available in Centrify. So, basically, they joined forces to create a kind of perfect product. If you have a hybrid or mixed environment with Windows and Mac, your Active Directory can only manage or enforce policies on Windows, but what about your Mac devices? How do you control them? So, AD Bridging will act as a bridge to bring all your Mac devices into your Active Directory. This way you have full control over your entire environment."
"The weaknesses are related to the effort required to migrate from existing technologies or having no Privilege Access Management (PAM) at all to adopting technologies like BeyondTrust. It involves changes in processes and can take a significant amount of time, typically six to twelve months."
"There are three types of endpoints. If we need to use them in the solution, then we need to purchase the licenses separately. The tool needs to improve its licensing."
"There is room for improvement in having the solution align more with standards. We're always shoehorning the product into the standards. It's not that it doesn't work for standards, it does. But Quick Start Policies are pretty close to what we need. The vendor needs to keep looking at GDPR, 27001, and 27701. That's why our clients buy the product."
"They need to come up with better integrative options which should be customer-centric."
"The product should improve its price."
"Reports to the end user."
"The VirusScan needs to improve in order to detect ransomware and other advanced threats."
"The interface is complex."
"It would be nice if the solution were to allow not just on-cloud management, but on-premises, as well."
"There are two main areas that require improvement. One is the size of the packages. Although I'll admit manageability is good, if I want to deploy, let's say just the antivirus or just the firewall, each of those package sizes are quite large. They are sometimes as big as 200MB or 250MB. When I have operations in remote areas where connectivity is always poor, it's difficult. To deploy such a package in a remote location over the internet or something like that is always challenging."
"The initial setup isn't so easy. You need to know what you are doing."
"The solution consumes a lot of end user memory and CPU. Trellix doesn't really focus much on the anti-malware side."
"I would like this solution to do what Palo Alto traps does because I would only need to run this one product."
"We have had some of our clients not happy with McAfee Endpoint Security because it blocks some of the applications they are trying to use. They should make it easier to unblock applications."
