We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
The categorize formula is very helpful. Previously, we used the Cisco solution, where we could not choose how sites are categorized. Blue Coat updated a lot of sites I categorized. There are other valuable features as well, such as block by location, block by IP, allow by IP, and block by user name, domain, or group domain. The content filters and SSL encryption are the most valuable features of this solution. The solution is very stable. In four years we have not seen any issues with the product.

Overview

The Blue Coat proxy-based architecture serves as the foundation for the Advanced Web Security solutions, and is delivered as a cloud service, on-premise appliance or a hybrid of the two. They combine the critical security functions you need to safely adopt cloud and mobile technologies, while strengthening your security and compliance:

  • ProxySG (On-Premise Appliance)
  • Web Security Service (Cloud Service)
  • Mobile Device Security Service
  • Content Analysis
  • Malware Analysis

DNS is one of the fastest growing attack vectors because it’s essential for network connectivity, and current security solutions are not designed to protect it. Distributed denial of service (DDoS) and other external and internal DNS-based threats can flood your DNS server with malicious requests, bringing down your network. These attacks can redirect users to harmful Internet destinations, exfiltrate data, and expose your customers and business to additional risks. Security technologies such as NextGen firewalls, IPS, and generic DDoS solutions do not understand DNS and are unable to prevent specific attacks such as DNS cache poisoning, DNS hijacking, reflection attacks, amplification attacks, and many others.

With Infoblox Advanced DNS Protection, you can comprehensively defend your DNS server from the widest range of DNS-based attacks, while maintaining service availability and business continuity.
