We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"XenApp is a fast, secure and reliable solution for remote connections that is completely different than and superior to older Windows solutions.""The most valuable feature of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is the security and it is easy to work with.""It has very good performance in delivering 3D applications over WAN.""I found the ease of deployment, scalability, and security to be to our benefit when supplying virtual applications to our clients.""The tool helps me to connect with some apps of our company and resolve the tickets.""The ROI for us has been that when we had Hurricane Harvey last year, Xendesktop came in very handy for us. Even though people had electricity in Texas, many networks were down. Our offices could still get into our network and do work that was needed. It is an excellent virtual office that works anywhere, anytime and anyplace. It is worth our investment.""The solution provides everything in one integrated platform. When it comes to monitoring their solution, it is really easy. We have all the information in one place so we can have the right information at the right moment. We can be proactive when it comes to dealing with performance, maintenance, and security issues.""The most valuable feature is the gateway to a remote connection, to a physical or a virtual PC. Compared to a normal VPN client and connection, the connection via Citrix is more stable and does not consume as much network bandwidth."

"I personally really appreciate the file transfer feature as it is really easy to use.""We like drawing utilities inside ISL. That helps us mark specific regions on the screen, so that end users know what to focus on.""It's much easier to connect with other services, and it's working great. We haven't had any problems.""The code can be delivered in multiple ways, including an email with a link for an unattended connection.""Setting up the solution is easy and there's no maintenance involved.""The most valuable feature is safety.""The solution has a lot of features. It does what it is made to do and that's all we can ask for, really.""ISL Online is easy to use. It provides a single platform on which we can do everything, and it's very low maintenance. After installation, you don't need an IT manager or staff to watch over it. It's secure. It's most important for us."

Cons
"Scalability depends on the server and the number of users in the organization.""My only issue with Citrix is that they frequently rebrand their products. I'm using the app and everything is fine but after a couple of years, it's entirely different. There were an enormous number of Citrix tools readily available. My immediate concern was selecting the correct ones.""Their customer support can be improved a lot as it lacks a lot of knowledgeable help.""As an end-to-end solution for implementing Zero Trust principles I would rate it a six or a seven out of 10, because it doesn't cover all aspects of Zero Trust. There are quite a few aspects you need to cover.""I think they can improve the troubleshooting to make it easier for users to solve problems on their own. For example, it could provide an error code and some instructions on how to reconnect to the database or do something proactive to fix the issue with the system.""It would help if it were a little simpler. It's a bit complicated and we have hired Citrix administrators. But it's a good solution.""I would like to see simplification in the management of the on-prem infrastructure component of Citrix DaaS, particularly in the studio tool used to manage the DaaS infrastructure.""There is room for improvement because it has a lot of dependency on Active Directory and other things. If they could come up with something similar and native, a complete solution portfolio would help."

"We miss the possibility to communicate via head-set in ISL. At the moment, we combine ISL for visual communication with Skype for verbal communication.""I would like to be able to access and manage all brands of smartphones.""They should improve the integrations with other incident management software to be able to send the link directly from these platforms.""They need to better advertise the features.""There have been times during updates when something wouldn't work quite right, however, they are quick with updates and quick with fixes.""It would be helpful if they had iSupport for supporting Apple phones.""If there is an update or new feature on ISL Online, I don't know about it. I would be happy to receive a newsletter or notification of new features or updates.""There could be a section in the menu describing the new features and changes."

  • "We have a pay-per-use license available for 500 minutes within one year for 95 Euros. However, this option is not popular. Alternatively, we can purchase a one-year license for 339 Euros; if we need two licenses, the cost is double, and for three licenses, the cost is triple with a ten percent discount. For 99 Euros a year, we can open multiple sessions on the same computer with a multi-session subscription."
