Pricing and Cost Advice

The costing is very competitive. The solution is rather expensive and I think the price is too high. It's a subscription based license, which is started on a yearly basis. Currently the licensing is split between three editions: standard, enterprise, and enterprise plus. As long as you check the comparison between the additions and make sure that you have what you need, there are no extra costs with Veeam.Licensing costs are $300,000 USD yearly, and we pay for three years at a time.

Overview

An essential part of Datrium’s Automatrix platform, Cloud DVX provides an on-demand, integrated, autonomous offsite store for backup and DR images on AWS S3 low-cost storage. It’s offered as software as a service on AWS using your own credentials, or as part of Datrium DRaaS. It uses the same software as the on-prem DVX system. Storing backups offsite is a required fundamental of IT data protection. Cloud is becoming the natural place to put them. Cloud DVX overcomes the historic obstacles to cloud backup management, enabling simple and automated recoveries of VMs, guest files, or whole data centers.
