They're quick to respond to any problems. The most valuable feature is the antispam module, which comes in the bundle. The most valuable feature of this solution is the management. This solution blocks the brand new malware threats. In terms of the current global landscape, it is a great solution.Advanced level endpoint firewall, which helps to block unwanted and malicious traffic. What is great about ESET is the ERA Web Console through which we can pull various reports, monitor and administer all clients and servers, and the console is easy to use.

The firewall, malware, and anti-virus protection have earned its keep in times past by catching the unexpected. This solution helps in that I can control quite a few computers from our central location, with ease. The most amazing qualities of Symantec Endpoint Protection is that it provides a total solution to all virus problems. The solution is completely scalable. The solution is very stable. The features I find the most valuable are the protection, the encryption, and the DLP.I like the firewall and the intrusion prevention features, and just the basic anti-malware and anti-virus seems to be pretty effective as well. The most valuable features of this solution are that it is really easy to use, and it is secure.

Cons
The solution includes only Intrusion Detection and not IPS, which is an important feature that is missing in my version. The solution should offer more security surrounding blacklisted websites. If I were in an environment that required a large-scale deployment then I would choose another solution over ESET.Everything has some kind of room for improvement.I would like them to use AI features to do preventative virus protection.ESET should consider giving it application control. They need to improve licensing for VMs. When ESET is uninstalled from a VM, the seat stays on the license management server. We have to manually delete the seat from that server because it doesn't know how to handle it. I contacted exclusive ESET support here in Croatia and they told me there is no solution for this yet.

Managements' number one item on the "Wish List" would have to do with the real-time scan of external media inserted into any client. In the next release of this solution, I would like to see more to do with malware, encryption technology, and controlling mobile devices. It is only available to use on computers with higher-end specs. The Centralized Management could be improved. The reporting function needs to be more user friendly in general. The detection and response can always be improved. If you're not charged with administering the product and you don't do it every day it can sometimes be difficult to remember how to do the simple basic things, so some type of help or guidance for your most regular or frequent tasks would be good.Reporting in this solution needs improvement.

Pricing and Cost Advice
Currently, we are running on a three-year license. The pricing might be around $20,000. There aren't any costs above the standard licensing fee. This solution is a good value for the money. At first, we thought it was a bit expensive, but we negotiated a better price. The cost is a very reasonable. When compared with other products, the price is low (though not very low).

We pay our licensing fees on a yearly basis, and everything is included in that price. The pricing is a little bit more expensive than other competitors, if you compare it to Kaspersky, for example, or McAfee. The problem is Symantec is more expensive than other vendors. We receive a discounted price for this solution because we are a non-profit organization.Compared to other products and brands here in Mexico, the price is okay, somewhere in the middle. Our solution is unique in that it can adapt to a variety of pricing and licensing constraints considering we have the corporate, government, and academic mandates. ThePricing and licensing for our country is very good. It's not that expensive and the endpoint security is very good. It's not as cheap as some others, but they are not as good.We pay on a yearly basis...Zero-day threat or advanced attacks should be part of the endpoint. The product should not require you to buy a separate license.

I would recommend the SEP which I had been using it for the past 10 yrs of my IT career and we had evaluated like Kaspersky or McAfee but still found that Symantec is still the best solution in AV.
