We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The ability to design complex data models and equations.""The ability to integrate with a great variety of data sources.""Valuable features include advanced integrated analysis and easy implementation.""Data Studio integrates seamlessly with other Google products, and we can use it with other APIs if we like.""This has improved our organization by allowing people to see their data and develop visualizations themselves.""The company dashboard is useful because we could share it via a link as a reminder for everyone to check it weekly. We observed the progress of our portfolio from last week to the current week, allowing us to compare revenues.""The solution is free so that is a good feature.""I am impressed with the tool's scheduling mechanism, refresh mechanism, and different types of charts."

"What's most valuable in this tool is that it gives its users detailed error messages. It's a very stable data analytics tool, and it offers good scalability.""It's a powerful platform.""The most valuable feature would be the abundance of connectors. It is also easy to use.""I liked that Microsoft Power BI handles a large amount of data. I can handle hundreds of rows from Postgres in a few minutes. I also like how it detects the relationship between the tables without explicitly saying that. It just detects the relationship automatically. That made it easier to work with the data.""The solution overall is very useful. The reports that are generated and the reporting functionality management are beneficial.""It offers a lot of information and is very flexible and interactive.""Ease of development and maintenance.""We have a lot of servers and applications from which we want reports, and it allows us to create reports from an SQL source or some other source."

Cons
"There are issues with integration and I encountered limits and warnings, especially with my pivot table size.""Stability and scalability an be improved for a full ten.""When you physically install a product on one machine instead of the cloud, you have a better visibility, best icon quality, etc.. It's more of an issue with how we are adapting to the transition. We are still in the early moments of using this tool, and we need to go deeper to discover some improvements.""Insisting on forums, blogs and community outreach in communications, and posting videos on an established calendar would be useful.""It's not yet a replacement for a complete BI tool.""Other tools might be worth considering if you need more advanced features or support for a larger user base.""There is a significant degree of sophistication required to compete with Tableau or Cognos.""Panels are not as easy to use as other data extraction UIs."

More Google Data Studio Cons →

"We found out that you can't share a report with others unless you have an additional package. That caught us off guard. It came as a program that somebody could go in, build a report, and show it, but you can't share it without having additional licenses.""I'm looking for something that can make it much easier to incorporate Power BI visuals or dashboards into, let's say, Power Apps – custom Power Apps or anything like that. The most important thing would be to seamlessly embed reports in applications. For example, to have buttons that can be navigated through multiple solutions – from Power Apps to Power BI to SharePoint – via links or something like that.""The one thing that I noticed specifically was the graphical features, and some of the analytical features. They were stronger on the Tableau side.""I believe there is room for improvement in terms of authentication and certain functionalities in Power BI. For instance, adjusting the width of columns is not easily done, as there is only an option to enable or disable automatic adjustment. This can be a significant drawback for clients who desire more flexibility.""Integration with products that are not Microsoft could be more improved.""It has come a long way in terms of how it was working two years ago, but there are some things that you still can't do with it. For example, permission management and user access management are still a bit limited. It is basically based on the idea that everybody from the organization can see everything or limit the type of data they can see. If I want you to see only one report and the other guy to see another report, I can't do it. There should be a better way to manage permissions and users. It should also support external users much better.""The visualization aspect, while being the most visible to business users, also happens the be the weakest point in the entire Microsoft BI stack.""They asked you to pay if you want to synchronize more than eight times, you would have to go to a Power BI enterprise license, which is much more costly."
