Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The main thing is that I feel safe. Because the processes that have been used to get a handle on the attackers are much better than other competitors""The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls.""The price is low and quite competitive with others.""Fortinet FortiEDR made our clients feel secure and more at ease, knowing that they had an EDR solution that would close the gap in their security posture.""Ability to get forensics details and also memory exfiltration.""Fortinet FortiEDR's scalability is quite good, and you can add licenses to the solution.""he solution is an anti-malware product that integrates well with other vendor products such as firewalls, SIEM, etc. It captures threat intelligence and gives you better visibility. The product also has sandboxing features.""Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance."

"The most valuable feature of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is its ease of use.""Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.""It is helpful for protecting our desktops and servers from malware and other threats.""The product provides endpoint visibility and portal updates, which are very helpful.""I like that the tool is a bit simple to use. In terms of handling phishing and rate mitigation, it is quite good. The product is stable. I rate it a perfect ten. The solution is scalable. I rate it an eight out of ten, with ten being the highest. The initial setup is straightforward. I have seen a return on investment.""The ease of deployment via our RMM tool has been good.""The most valuable feature of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite is its efficiency in finding threats, such as viruses and ransomware.""GravityZone provides information about over-the-air data flow, standalone application security, and the infrastructure architecture required to meet the standalone security requirements of the complete SaaS infrastructure."

"Feature-wise, the learning mode and the fact that it's blocking everything are the most valuable. I don't see why more companies don't use the type of product.""We use ThreatLocker's Allowlisting to whitelist specific applications and prevent unauthorized software from running.""While it can be frustrating at times, we appreciate the low-level security provided by the application whitelist.""Every single feature has been invaluable.""The most valuable feature is probably the ability to block programs from running. ThreatLocker has some built-in features that make it super easy. You can also contact their support within the program. If you're having issues, you can click on that button and connect with someone in five to 10 seconds.""The biggest improvement has been knowing that something unauthorized isn't going to get installed on anyone’s machines.""The great thing is that if you get a malicious email and you try to run something, ThreatLocker is not going to let it do anything. It is not going to let anything infect your network.""Application control, ring-fencing, and storage control are the most important features, followed closely by elevation."

Cons
"We find the solution to be a bit expensive.""The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices.""To improve Fortinet, we need to see more features and technology areas at the endpoint level introduced.""We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments.""The SIEM could be improved.""The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions""The security should be strong for the cloud. Some applications are on-prem and some are on the cloud. Fortinet should also have strong security for the cloud. There should be more security for the cloud.""I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"The support from Bitdefender GravityZone Elite could be better.""Upgrades are heavy and require back up, making you feel like you're doing a fresh installation of this solution. Configuration can also be quite tedious if you want it to be configured based on your needs.""The initial setup of Bitdefender GravityZone Elite was a little complex. It's not for the average home user. You need to know what you're doing and understand what you're doing. During the deployment, it took us approximately an hour and a half to understand fully the way we wanted it to be set up, and then from there, it wasn't too bad.""Its performance can be better. It doesn't work very well for ransomware. That's why we are trying to evaluate other products.""There could be more security features included in the product.""The reporting functionality is quite minimal, and there are no alerts available. We are missing email encryption capabilities. We’ve also faced a few minor issues with the solution’s scalability.""Bitdefender GravityZone Elite could improve the ease of use and add more features. Other solutions have more features such as Kaspersky Antivirus. For example, I could not remote connect with Microsoft Windows with Kaspersky Antivirus and the reports were better. Additionally, I have had difficulty ending tasks with solutions.""When you have to change some of the settings, the initial setup can become complicated."

More GravityZone Business Security Cons →

"The snapshots used in the ThreatLocker University portal are outdated snippets and have not been updated in conjunction with the portal itself.""More visibility in the built-ins would be nice.""Adding applications to the allowlist can sometimes feel overwhelming.""Something we have come up against a couple of times is that we have two clients that are software developers. They create software that doesn't have digital signatures and that's not easy to categorize or whitelist with ThreatLocker. We have to go in and make custom rules to allow them to do their work and to be protected from malicious threats.""The portal can be a little overwhelming at times from an administration point of view. It displays a lot of information, and it's all useful. However, sometimes there is too much on the screen to sift through, especially if you're trying to diagnose a client's problem with a piece of software. Maybe something has stopped working since they updated it, and we need to see if ThreatLocker is blocking a component of that software.""One area I see for improvement is in the visibility of support tickets within the ThreatLocker ticketing system.""ThreatLocker could offer more flexible training, like online or offline classes after hours. The fact that they even provide weekly training makes it seem silly to suggest, but some people can't do it during the day, so they want to train after work. They could also start a podcast about issues they see frequently and what requires attention. A podcast would be helpful to keep us all apprised about what's going on and/or offline training for those people who can't train during the week.""We identified several areas that we would like to see improved."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.

GravityZone Business Security is much more than a business antivirus software. Here is why:

    1. It ensures complete protection against all types of malware: ransomware, phishing, zero-day attack, viruses, spyware, etc.

    2. It uses multiple machine learning techniques, behavioral analysis, and continuous monitoring of running processes to keep up with the latest threats.

    3. Everything is available in a single, easy-to-use platform for all your devices: desktops, laptops, physical and virtual servers, allowing you to choose between a cloud or an on-premise hosted management console.

The ThreatLocker platform is a robust Zero Trust endpoint security solution, safeguarding organizations against ransomware, malware, and various cyber threats through a unified approach. It incorporates key features like Application Allowlisting, Ringfencing, and Dynamic Network Control. Application Allowlisting ensures that only authorized applications run on endpoints, preventing unauthorized software and thwarting ransomware and malware threats. Ringfencing isolates approved applications from one another and the operating system, inhibiting malware spread and unauthorized access to sensitive data. Dynamic Network Control regulates traffic, enhancing security by closing unused ports and opening them as needed for authorized connections. The ThreatLocker platform simplifies security management with a centralized console and supports Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints.
