Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We cannot function without this solution. ""It's rather simple to use, and that's very important for us.""Deploys faster new virtual services.""It is very stable. We have had no downtime nor issues in approximately a year. ""We lose less time managing the machines.""The solution's technical support was great...The initial setup of HPE OneView was easy.""Easy to add servers and get them monitored and manageable.""The remote support automatically logs service calls and support cases with HPE, which is really good."

"What was very compelling about OpsView was that we could dial out the noise and have meaningful and actionable alerts.""It's a good solution. It covers all aspects of monitoring purposes.""We use this solution for internal monitoring our own cloud platform because we are a public cloud provider. We also use it for monitoring purposes on behalf of our clients.""The most valuable feature of Opsview is the ability to clone the services when you're monitoring something out of the test setup.""I am satisfied with the overall product since it works well…It is a stable solution."

Cons
"Sometimes the interface can be a little confusing, sometimes the error messages can be very cryptic, as far as what's actually going on.""The speed and performance of the solution are areas where the product lacks and needs improvement.""There was a feature called HPE cloud manager, but now it is owned by Micro Focus. HPE should make a cloud optimizer again.""I have to chop it up into smaller parts, because I have an installation in Europe and it covers the whole world. That is not so good. They need to be more localized, so I am going to chop it up into smaller bits.""Integration could be improved. Sometimes OneView doesn't identify physical hardware.""Those features, coming in version 4, that we're looking for are the discovery, primarily. But I think the scope-based access control is of interest, although, we didn't see any directory integration, so that, in itself, seems like it's still limited.""The network configuration part of HPE OneView needs improvement. The solution has way too many features, and there's a need for proper configuration indicators to be put in place.""Specifically, it would be great if we had the ability to reapply the server profile faster."

More HPE OneView Cons →

"Pricing and a few certain aspects in the solution needs to be improved.""Some of the graphics on Opsview could be improved.""In a future release, we would like to have Observ for AI. Any AI and intelligence it can add to the monitoring is obviously beneficial. We would also like to have automated callouts.""Customized reporting can be improved.""Maybe the graphical representation can be improved. It can be enhanced for better visualization. It could be a little better. And the graph center can be improved."
