Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It's easy for the IT admins at the company to use. It isn't hard to understand and there are lots of features you can use out of the box. If a feature isn't available in Ivanti Automation, you can always script it.""The most valuable feature of Ivanti Automation is the opportunity to use more or less any kind of scripting software."

"The most valuable features of this solution are that it's no code, it's very flexible, and it's easy to design.""Valuable features include workflows (escalation, reminder, LazyApproval, actions, etc.) and ease of use.""Out of box connectivity with UiPath.""It creates workflows to handle business processes. It allows us to route approvals to users without human intervention.""The Vizio-style designer that runs in the browser is, to me, by far the most valuable feature of the solution. It means that the customer doesn’t have to install any client tools to create powerful workflows.""It is a scalable product.""This tool is really helpful in reducing a lot of manual work. Its drag and drop components help to create a workflow faster than SharePoint Workflow Designer.""I think that it adds value to any organization, mainly in terms of business applications where you need workflows."

Cons
"Their cloud relay feature needs to improve to compete with other products in cloud solutions like Azure and AWS. It should be easier to deploy or provision images in the cloud with Ivanti Automation. Better Azure integration would also help.""Ivanti Automation should deliver more fixed templates for standard use cases or standard procedures."

More Ivanti Automation Cons →

"The licensing needs to be improved. Right now, we find it's getting more expensive to use the product.""Nintex is still at the starting point of integrating with AI. It has integrated with a very small piece of artificial intelligence., like only integrated with the Google Cloud. There is a benefit, like a no-code and low-code solution. But, again, if you are a developer, especially if you are a hardcore developer, you are using your code knowledge, its skills, and all. And, suddenly, you are moving into the low-code solution, and then you will feel, like, so many things you can't achieve with the low-code solution.""Converting a document from PDF to MS Word, or vice versa, needs to be improved.""I think it was lacking a little bit in its multiple in-house processes and other processes. So there is a little bit of a gap in collaboration.""K2 is a workflow solution, and there is no RPA solution with K2. This is where K2 lacks a little bit. It is just a heavy workflow solution. It doesn't have a supplemental product like RPA. If you want to use RPA, you have to use Blue Prism, UIPath, or something else. If you use Nintex, it has an RPA solution. It is a form-based application, and they are doing everything electronically. The initial investment in K2 is heavy because it is a BPM software. It does not have a low cost because they charge you the same for one workflow or 100 workflows.""The Workflow Designer needs improvement.""We cannot use the same solution on cloud.""Difficult to include external partners with the solution deployed on-premise."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "My customers do direct sales with Ivanti, and they complain that Ivanti Automation is more expensive than other solutions."
  • More Ivanti Automation Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Nintex products are expensive, but valuable. Licensing in on-premise was historically based on a perpetual model, where you’d license per Web front-end. However, they are switching exclusively to a consumption (subscription) model, where you purchase the number of workflows you think you’ll use in your environment, and can scale up from there."
  • "Offering a licensing model that allows for multiple small workflows would be a huge improvement to an already great platform."
  • "Our maintenance costs are reduced."
  • "The annual support costs are expensive."
  • "Comparatively, it's expensive."
  • "We pay on a yearly basis. It's my understanding that we pay approximately $11,000/year."
  • "The initial investment in K2 is heavy. Currently, the expenditure is $28,000 for a year. After we go to the cloud, it is going to be per seat and probably cheaper. Currently, there are unlimited users."
  • "There is an initial fee when purchasing and a fee for maintenance afterward."
