Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"We find that the reporting is particularly valuable in terms of not only communicating with our peer teams but also with the executives.""One of the solution's biggest strengths is its capacity management performance, with out-of-the-box reports through NMS, as well as its ability to collect NetFlow-related data from devices. The collection of network performance and flow data is important because we have many critical business applications.""The network data collection has been very flexible for us. It's been thorough in areas that were lacking. They have a team that I've worked with to add other pieces to it. So if it's missing something out of the box, they work with me to add it. I was able to collect that data. It's not perfect, but it's pretty thorough.""The feature that I have found most valuable is the scale-up and scale-down. The scale-up is an operation where the CPU boosts-up and then the memory will boost-up. That works awesomely.""The most valuable feature as of late has been the API integration with ServiceNow.""Scalability. I have never had to worry about how to handle really big environments.""The monitoring of the network is very customizable. That is its unique feature.""The out of the box reports and workflows are pretty good and they meet our requirements well."

"The most valuable features of this solution are monitoring and maintaining traffic queuing, as well as seeing who is using the bandwidth.""The most valuable feature of NETSCOUT nGeniusPULSE is the network troubleshooting analysis. You can pinpoint an issue before it could shut down the network.""I like the single pane of glass view because it presents everything in one window, obviously. You can see it all. With a quick glance, you get a pretty good snapshot of what's going on in a particular situation.""This is a very reliable and complete solution for troubleshooting and monitoring environments.""I like the single pane of glass view. I like being able to go to one place instead of having to hunt around for everything."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"NMS has several areas for improvement. It should be more user-friendly inside of NMS for some of the functionality in there. It's been getting better the last version or two, but the there have been bugs in there whenever I've gone to new versions.""Some similar solutions offer end-to-end visibility.""When I started using it, I tried adding one of the BroadWorks application servers into SevOne... it created thousands and thousands of objects from that one application server and we immediately ran out of license... It would help, when new objects are discovered, if there were a way to categorize those objects and to pick the part of the object you need...""There are a lot of pain points. My main problem is that we don't have a high availability system. There are 20 peers. We're going to lose the end-of-life appliances that are old. If we lose a peer and it doesn't come back, we lose all that data. The reason we don't have high availability is because it's double the charge.""We previously have had discussions on some reporting enhancements. So, we raised a feature request, which was delivered from SevOne.""You need to plan integrations. That has been the biggest bug with SevOne so far. For the things that SevOne pulls directly, those are easy to understand, modify, and put into the database. For things that need to use the Universal Collector or xStats, you need to plan that stuff well in advance.""I'm not really sure if this was the software's fault or a server issue, but a couple of years back the disks were failing on our SevOne physical server every month and the server would go down. The secondary server took over from the primary until the disk issue was resolved. That was annoying.""The tool needs improvement in non-Cisco SD-WAN."

More IBM SevOne Network Performance Management (NPM) Cons →

"Usability is the area with the biggest room for improvement. We've found that with NETSCOUT, while it's a fantastic product, the usability is a major factor because there are just way too many clicks. It's obvious, from our experience, that the people who are developing the product aren't using it.""The price of the solution could be reduced.""They require a lot of manual effort as traffic flows, networks, and formal times change.""The GUI interface and dashboards could be more attractive to the customer.""In terms of additional features, I would like to see better event notification. Right now, we put in an email address to receive an alert and it receives every event and every alert that comes out. We need something a little more granular."
