We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software.""Lowers costs, produces higher efficiencies, while maintaining a leaner staff and produces advanced financials.""NetSuite is a great solution, fast to bring up and makes everyone's life easier.""The solution is user-friendly and flexible.""Allows us to use it the way we need to instead of changing our needs and processes to fit the product.""Utilizes best practices that are simple to implement.""NetSuite OneWorld is a single instance that allows you to do different business functions, such as reporting, order-to-cash, design-build, and procure-to-pay. This feature is what's most valuable in the solution.""Embedded business intelligence is a valuable feature. There is also no need to wait for extract functions, and each transaction is reflected in the system dashboards in real time."

"The sales and wholesale distribution are great.""The solution offers a structured view and is useful for the top management. The top management finds it organized and structured. It is stable and gives you fewer headaches as an IT manager.""The solution has all the basic features that are required for us.""It is quite simple, and it is suitable for medium and small businesses.""The most valuable feature of SAP Business One is its user-friendly and useful business module.""SAP Business One has many valuable features. It is highly flexible and has a solid background in accounting that is localized in a lot of countries. This makes it very user-friendly for a lot of different situations.""The most valuable feature of SAP Business One is the price and reputation of the vendor. The solution is widely accepted around the world.""Business One's best feature is that all the modules are integrated."

Cons
"I don’t like the SaaS models. Of course, they make the tool powerful enough to run a billion-dollar business. The tool is cheaper than SAP or Core.""In NetSuite OneWorld, what needs improvement is the production planning functionality.""The Project Management User Interface is lacking.""Currently, NetSuite OneWorld needs to be more mature, especially compared to SAP.""Needs time entry for billable employees.""Project collaboration through Dashboard Business Management and Relations Management is easy to perform, but it does need to be worked on as it is difficult for customers, suppliers, and internal users to use.""If you were to use standard costs, it doesn't handle standard costs well.""NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software."

"In terms of business processes, the production could use improvement.""Our company is expanding to different countries, and business is growing. We feel that it is not good enough for the huge volume of the business. On-premises setup is not good enough for the overseas office. We have our onsite premises in Hong Kong, but we have a major sales office in the US. We are looking for a more efficient setup to fulfill our requirements and needs. It can have portals for vendors, suppliers, and customers. I know that they have this feature in version 10, but it still has space to improve.""The solution needs to have comprehensive visibility into the entire sales-to-purchase cycle, enabling businesses to monitor SO-PO relationships, track order progress, and generate insightful reports.""The standard SAP Business One is sufficient for the Indian region. There is no need for further enhancement as custom solutions can be designed and developed to meet specific needs. For example, HR and payroll is not a standard feature of the solution, but they can be created as a separate custom solution. However, payroll is not a standard function due to the varying norms and regulations across India's 29 states and union territories. Therefore, a standard payroll solution cannot be provided by SAP to add utility and features. Adding it would lead to different versions of the solution and more complexity in managing them. However, it would be useful to have addons to cover the other states which have different regulations.""There is no dependency, the integration between the other applications.""Areas for improvement are the operating mechanisms, authorization of the production process, and sales cycle automation.""There are only a few standard reports available and if you want more then they either have to be downloaded or built.""The initial implementation is not straightforward. It took approximately three months to complete. The process could be easier."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Consider the roles of the employees who will use NetSuite and identify any groups who will only utilize the employee center. These licenses are cheaper and will reduce costs significantly."
  • "Measure twice, cut once."
  • "Good solution for the price, but hire a skilled project manager to handle the technical setup."
  • "Do not try to go it alone. Get a consultant who has been there and listens."
  • "NetSuite offers a great many advantages, including a cost of about third of the traditional pharma manufacturing ERP packages."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld is much less expensive for a very small to medium-sized business. Still, when you grow into an enterprise-level company, the price increases, but as long as you plan and know that going in, it's manageable."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld has fair pricing. It was not very expensive, so price-wise, I'm rating it as five out of ten."
  • "NetSuite OneWorld tends to be pricey. The decision to allocate a budget for this solution ultimately rests with the management and negotiating team, and I am not typically included in these discussions. Nonetheless, the information I've received leads me to believe that it is a costly platform. There are not any additional costs that I am aware of."

  • "Business One is reasonable considering the functionality."
  • "In terms of price, it's fair, but the problem is with AMC."
  • "Its price is reasonable. People are able to spend that much."
  • "Its licensing model is good. There is a one-off payment for the software license, and after that, you only need to pay the annual maintenance fee. Compared to other cloud-based systems, this cost model is quite reasonable for SMEs."
  • "We pay annually. It is around 800 a month."
  • "We feel that the licensing fees are a bit on the higher side."
  • "We compared the Microsoft solution with Oracle NetSuite, as they have a price decrease. It is, however, not that much cheaper, and the price is comparable to SAP."
  • "Its price is reasonable. We have about 200 licenses. We have to pay every year for the license."
