We performed a comparison between NetSuite OneWorld and SAP S/4HANA based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two ERP solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The solution is scalable."
"NetSuite OneWorld is a single instance that allows you to do different business functions, such as reporting, order-to-cash, design-build, and procure-to-pay. This feature is what's most valuable in the solution."
"Embedded business intelligence is a valuable feature. There is also no need to wait for extract functions, and each transaction is reflected in the system dashboards in real time."
"The executive dashboards have satisfied the founders and leadership with up to the minute information. This allows them to make high level decisions."
"NetSuite is a great solution, fast to bring up and makes everyone's life easier."
"The solution is user-friendly and flexible."
"Utilizes best practices that are simple to implement."
"NetSuite OneWorld, the consolidation feature has been incredibly valuable. However, I cannot speak to the full range of features and functionalities offered by OneWorld as I am not familiar with all of them. I have utilized OneWorld primarily in the biotech industry, with a focus on operating expenses and financial reporting, such as capital contributions and foreign currency adjustments. I am confident, however, that OneWorld offers a robust module for reporting and consolidating revenue, though I have not had the opportunity to directly utilize this aspect of the software."
"S4HANA is relatively stable."
"The most valuable feature is the inbuilt standards included in SAP that customers can adopt easily. Also offers to customize it based on the specific requirements."
"The solution can scale well."
"The solution's new UI called Fiori is user friendly."
"The key modules that I find most valuable are material management (MM), financial accounting and controlling (FICO), and human resources (HR)."
"I have found SAP S4HANA to be scalable."
"SAP S4HANA is a robust solution."
"S4HANA is a completely integrated solution. It's an end-to-end ERP system with strong manufacturing and financial integration, which is not common among ERPs. And it's a solution that's driven by industry best practices."
"Needs time entry for billable employees."
"In NetSuite OneWorld, what needs improvement is the production planning functionality."
"The Project Management User Interface is lacking."
"Project collaboration through Dashboard Business Management and Relations Management is easy to perform, but it does need to be worked on as it is difficult for customers, suppliers, and internal users to use."
"Currently, NetSuite OneWorld needs to be more mature, especially compared to SAP."
"Certain analytics features are missing that I've come to expect from other systems. Additionally, there are occasional issues with data accuracy that need to be addressed. Overall, deeper analytics capabilities would greatly improve the tool's usefulness for me."
"There is not a 20 year pedigree of pharma experience in the NetSuite channel. While there are many of these CMO Pharma companies rapidly moving to NetSuite, there are few consultants with true pharma experience. Those who have experience are stretched pretty thin."
"If you were to use standard costs, it doesn't handle standard costs well."
"In an upcoming release, it would be beneficial to have more practical intelligence in the system, such as protective maintenance, or artificial intelligence."
"We found that the implementing partners themselves are struggling with S4HANA's features. It's not an exact translation of the older ECC, so SAP has taken a new route to do things with S4HANA. Maybe it's a good product, but the implementing partners also like to have an in-depth understanding of the full feature set the product offers."
"A virtual machine could exist to make everything available on a single deployment."
"I'm not a big fan of SAP S/4HANA because it needs a lot of hardware. It is really fast, but it needs a lot of hardware. The hardware for S/4HANA is too expensive."
"MRP repost area should be improved. The production information report also needs to be improved."
"So, there is room for improvement in pricing. HANA is not a simple product; it's quite complex by design."
"The solution could improve by making customization easier. The on-premise version is a lot more flexible."
"If I can highlight one point that could be improved, when we talk about other ERPs, like Oracle, nowadays these ERPs provide free integration with other ERPs. For example, there is an API for banks integrated into every tool and every product form requires that bank integration in order to give real time data into the ERP. But SAP is charging a lot for that particular bank integration scenario and I think it should be free because other ERPs are providing this feature built in to the ERP. People always ask us about the integration and how much it will cost to go with that solution, so people are thinking about this."
