Find out in this report how the two IT Operations Analytics solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."We use the on-premises version to monitor our systems and manage emails. All our systems use Operations Bridge, especially the critical systems."
"The most valuable feature is that everything can be consolidated into one dashboard."
"Purely, its flexibility is the most valuable aspect. It is hugely configurable."
"From our monitoring perspective or from a visibility perspective, HPE UCMDB is a must have. It's an amazing piece of software."
"OpsBridge has good event correlation facilities and root-cause identification algorithms."
"The event correlation is the most valuable aspect of the solution."
"The broad integration possibilities, I'd say, with any kind of product, are probably the most valuable feature."
"I've found the solution to be very scalable."
"The correlation searches are most valuable just because we are able to do things like RBA."
"We are much faster finding and addressing issues with Splunk."
"The log aggregation is great."
"Its compatibility with other SIEMS is very useful."
"The ability to digest any information and then correlate it in accordance with what you need is valuable. The ability to connect to pretty much everything and bring the information in the same format is also valuable. On top of that, we can use their language in order to create and customize the dashboards, correlations, or analytics that we want to incorporate."
"The most valuable feature is that it's very good for log aggregation."
"The data representation options in the dashboards are excellent."
"The most valuable feature is the log aggregation, being able to scan through all of the logs."
"Remove the dependency of Java technology. This is a feature used for admin purposes to update the modeling."
"The latest versions of the service reporting dashboards need improvement, such as service modeling."
"Installing and upgrading the HPOM and Operations Agent software is not always easy and the process can be quite fragile. Once it is running, it is very quick and stable, but an upgrade can quite easily break something or terminate unexpectedly."
"The initial setup of this tool is complex for people who lack experience with it."
"The initial setup is a little bit complex."
"pology-based event correlation does not work well with NNM events."
"I know that in the next version, X1005, they're moving to more graphical overviews, which should help our senior managers."
"In a future release, we would like an improved upgrade process. When you upgrade it now, it first uninstalls everything and then reinstalls all the packages, which means any customization that you've done in the directories on the surface disappears."
"The integration could be a bit better. They charge for certain integrations."
"The Enterprise Security app could be improved. We have had trouble with it working from the first day."
"The only improvement I am expecting is the cost of the licensing. Clients are going to other solutions just because of the cost."
"While Splunk Enterprise Security offers valuable features, its cost is high and could be more competitive."
"A problem that we had recently had was we licensed it based on how much data you upload to them every day. Something changed in one our applications, and it started generating three to four times as many logs and. So now, we are trying to assemble something with parts of the Splunk API to warn ourselves, then turn it off and throttle it back more. However it would be better if they had something systematically built into the product that if you're getting close to your license, then to shut things down."
"If possible, we would like to have not only a log monitoring system but a network monitoring feature in this solution as well."
"The cluster environment should be improved. We have a cluster. In the Splunk cluster environment, in the case of heavy searches and heavy load, the Splunk cluster goes down, and we have to put it in the maintenance mode to get it back. We are not able to find the actual culprit for this issue. I know that cluster has RF and SF, but it has been down so many times. There should be something in Splunk to help users to find the reason and the solution for such issues."
"It currently has limited default rules and customizations. If they can concentrate more on the compliance part and the security information part, it would be helpful. The platform part is good, but it requires many features from the security aspect."
