We've had issues with the stability of IBM QRadar User Behavior Analytics. We had bugs once or twice, but they were quickly solved by IBM's support team. The bugs weren't really something that stopped us from working. We managed to solve them rather quickly.

We had some bugs and we had to handle them. They impacted our deployment timeline, but all of the bugs that we had were quickly solved by engineers from IBM. QRadar's performance has room for improvement because it cannot handle the volume. I need massive amounts of logs from various devices in our existing network architecture. IBM needs to improve QRadar's capacity to handle more logs.

Usually, disk space is the issue. When it runs out of space, we need to stop logs from different network devices, especially the firewall, before it starts working.

What they have claimed is 99.5% uptime. However, I'm not very sure whether there's an implementation problem or not. Sometimes the system gets hung and then we have to restart everything from the scratch. You have got these multi printing options, though not functionally. Sometimes it gets some jitters there. Sometimes there are cases where we are finding it very difficult to get into the system as there can be three or four people logging into the same platform at the same time and sometimes the reduces the speed a lot.

Overall I'd say the stability is pretty good. I have noticed some issues with the patch and updates recently, especially version 72A. There have been some problems where a patch would come out and a few days later another patch would have to come out to fix issues that weren't encountered so that's caused some issues for us.

I wouldn't describe the solution as stable.

It was really buggy. Like other app integrations, it wasn't straightforward. It was pretty clunky. We tried to integrate Qualys with it and it wasn't effective. To integrate anything took quite a bit of time and energy. It wasn't easy. When it did, it didn't work properly. It wasn't really pulling in the data correctly.

We are the largest user of QRadar, so the stability is average. There are several vulnerabilities that IBM is working with us on. They don't have a test environment big enough to imitate the stress we put on it. Stability is probably OK for the normal customers, but we break everybody's apps just because of our size.

If the engineers are missing some technical knowledge from IBM documentation, then it might get interesting, but you can always rollback. Usually, when you are implementing innovations, as a system integrator, you usually do less on the test environment, and then you check if this works. If bigger organizations and customers want to do it by themselves, they should really stick to this approach and use a lot of material, community pages, and channels.

We had the problem when we patched from Version 7.2 to Version 7.2.8. There were some problems with the authentication tokens. It didn’t go so well, but we solved it with the help of technical support and it was very quick. I think that's cool.

Something to take into account is the IBM support; they really know their business and how to fix problems. It's very stable. The only issue we can report about is a system issue. When the partition is full, the whole system shuts down. If some partition of the logs is not in QRadar, maybe we can't find any solution to do this from QRadar.
In fact, we observed that sometimes the systems are going down when a partition is up to 90%. This issue is related to Red Hat, also we observed this issue relating to logs TOMCAT, the /var/log be up to 100% quickly.

I would rate the stability a ten out of ten. We have had the occasional bug or other issue but once we report it to IBM, they give us a resolution quite quickly.

QRadar is quite stable, but I am not sure about the volume. There is no clear volume. If I were to cross to an enterprise and the stability is not available then it would be a problem.

The system is quite stable, so far we haven't had any problems. Although the initial supply of the appliance was a bit faulty, the processor kept on failing. We were within the warranty so they supplied new ones. After loading logs, the system is very stable and nothing to worry about.
