Citrix Hypervisor Pricing

We used it only for some desktop licenses, so the pricing is great. We used the free licenses for server virtualization.
View full review »Pricing may be going up, which is not good. We pay for the solution on a yearly basis.
There are no costs beyond the standard licensing fee.

There are three editions available and I believe they are perpetual licenses. One is a free edition, one is advanced and another is a premium edition. The advanced edition is around, $4,000 USD.

I don't manage the the licensing. I know generally that Citrix is cheaper than VMware, but I don't know by how much.
View full review »Citrix Hypervisor is expensive. The cloud licenses are expensive. Only Citrix is earning money off those. It's the same with VMware and Microsoft.
View full review »The solution is highly affordable since it is an open-source product. There are no extra costs for us. We did pay for implementation and local support.
View full review »Citrix Hypervisor is a licensed product, and customers who buy the Citrix XenDesktop get Citrix Hypervisor for free. If they don't buy the license for Citrix XenDesktop, they'll need to pay for Citrix Hypervisor and its price is high. Pricing is even higher than VMware.
The licensing policy for Citrix Hypervisor is good. It's straightforward. The only issue is the price because it's an expensive product.
View full review »Citrix Hypervisor is relatively cost-effective, even when you factor in vendor or third-party support. Of course, there can be additional costs, depending on the complexity of the solution, but the standard installation is cost-effective.
The solution is not expensive at all.

Cannot answer this question; but the product is free, you only need to purchase a license if you want commercial level support from Citrix.

I am fine with their license support. What we have right now is permanent, so I don't have a problem with their license.

I would advise that with this setup, you are better off also taking up the paid support. The Tech support with these guys is fantastic. They will call you within minutes of logging the issue and with you to resolve the problem. If you provide access to the host they will log in and troubleshoot with you and show you which commands were run to solve the problem. 10/10 score on Technical support.

There is a license required to use this solution. You need a license on every server, but the license is more for support than anything else. The cost is not expensive, it is a fraction of the cost of VMware. When you look at the cost overall and features, Citrix Hypervisor has a very attractive offering.

When you try to show clients Citrix, the price kind of scares them away. It's quite expensive.

We use the free version, so there is no charge. To subscribe to the paid version with support, it is approximately $6,000 per year. There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees.

There are costs in addition to the standard licensing fees. In the beginning, because we had a small network, it was free. We have expanded to five physical servers so now we have to pay for all the servers. It is good for others to be aware that the product is only free to a point.
View full review »We pay for licensing yearly. It's a subscription-based license. We find the price to be quite good.

It is nice to be able to have a product that is free to use. Although it is simple, it does what I need it to do. The version you pay for has more features. I know that I would like to use some of the features in the paid version, but I can not justify the cost at this time.

Citrix is a good low-cost alternative to VMware, so if budgeting is an issue then I would recommend it.
