Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature of Juniper Wireless Access Points (AP Series) is the ability to troubleshoot ports on the network. Additionally, when there is an update on the APs they are able to reboot quickly reducing downtime. Other solutions have a longer downtime when updates are done.""In terms of reporting, in terms of all the user reports, it's very rich.""The most valuable feature of the solution is Marvis, the AI-driven network management system.""You can easily monitor, manage, and cover all your IT equipment.""The solution is pretty generic and easy to use.""The solution is stable.""The AI capabilities of Mist Wireless are superior to other OEMs.""The most useful feature of Juniper Wireless AP is the reporting Marvis."

"The coverage, concurrent user life, and visualization are the most valuable features of these solutions.""One advantage is the built-in Zigbee-based IoT functionality. You don't need an additional dongle to enable that option.""I have found the Access Point (AP) group profile feature extremely useful. It makes deployments look easy.""What I like most about Aruba Wireless is its stability, functionality, and performance.""Good wireless solution that's user-friendly, stable, and scalable, with very good product support, and a limited lifetime warranty.""It helps the user to have a better vision of what is happening in their network.""It offers an easy initial setup.""Reasonably priced and great for small to medium size organizations."

Cons
"There is room for improvement in terms of support and installation.""Improving third-party integration is key for Juniper Mist's next release.""The pricing should be made cheaper.""The solution is expensive.""If you want to do more specific stuff, it's a bit limited.""The pricing is very high in the Indian market.""The product should include adaptive Wi-Fi to show a more accurate location.""Juniper Mist Wireless Access Points’ support services need improvement."

"MAC authentication against an external Radius server while using 802.1X. This feature will help the L2 devices to authenticate via external Radius servers.""There are some issues we occasionally have. However, they are easily remedied.""Aruba doesn't match some competitors in wireless signal strength. It isn't in the same class as Cisco Meraki, so I would use Cisco Meraki in situations where I need to cover a large open space. Meraki has more powerful signals going out.""Better integration between the controller and the ClearPass portal would be a nice change.""The price could be better. In the next release, I would like to have more analytics features.""I wish the APs had the ability to enter in notes about a specific AP.""The product’s performance got worse with newer releases.""We're using the Aruba Sensor, but sometimes the sensor isn't talking to AirWave or the AP. If something happens, we need to receive an email directly from the sensor, but the controller doesn't know. If there's something like the high channel utilization from the sensor we send to the controller, the controller can change the channel because they're all in the same environment."

More Aruba Wireless Cons →

"Fortinet FortiWLC is not simple to configure when compared to other solutions. The design could be better.""One thing that is lacking is, compared with some other brands, the signal is a bit weaker. Ruckus has much wider signal coverage."
