We performed a comparison between CylancePROTECT and Trellix Endpoint Security based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The stability is very good."
"This is stable and scalable."
"Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out."
"Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance."
"It is stable and scalable."
"Fortinet FortiEDR's scalability is quite good, and you can add licenses to the solution."
"The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls."
"NGAV and EDR features are outstanding."
"Endpoints are protected in real-time without the need of a centralized server."
"The non-daily requirement to update signatures is the most valuable feature. From a functional point of view, it is pretty spot on. For instance, we compared an algorithm from five years ago to today's algorithm, and it was 98% accurate. It has the ability to detect and mitigate. In the industrial environment that we work in, there's what we call OT versus IT. You are IT Central, but this is OT. Generally, we don't have the same level of skillset as IT individuals or IT professionals have. This particular product doesn't require you to be a computer scientist to be able to understand its proprietary algorithm and to be able to deploy, use, and work within it. It integrates well with a robust SIEM or SOAR solution, and it plays nice with others. We use other detection solutions like CyberX or site provision with Cisco, and it plays nice. That's one of the things we really liked about it."
"CylancePROTECT is very stable - we've had no issues with performance and no errors or bugs."
"It handles situations that the other threat management tools wouldn't find. It has worked well covering the weaker sides of the other products that we're integrating."
"One of the best features of the solution is that it's easy to deploy."
"The solution’s AI is its most valuable feature."
"Blackberry Protect offers endpoint protection. It's easy to deploy. It's scalable and stable."
"The Application Guard and ByteGuard are useful features."
"It has improved my organization because it helps with visibility, in terms of security. We can see the actual attack and can contain it. The antivirus can detect that."
"It's quite easy to install agents."
"The user behavioral analysis feature is great."
"It can be deployed quickly, and it's scalable. Those are the two advantages of it."
"The most valuable features are the adaptive tech on McAfee."
"Technical support is always available and very helpful."
"The most valuable feature of Trellix Endpoint Security is containment, which takes less than a minute."
"The primary reason the solution is good is because of its ease-of-use."
"The only minor concern is occasional interference with desired programs."
"I would like the solution to extend beyond endpoint protection and include other attack surfaces such as other network components."
"Integration with Azure and SaaS provisioning tools could improve Fortinet FortiEDR."
"I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution."
"The solution should address emerging threats like SQL injection."
"ZTNA can improve latency."
"The dashboard isn't easy to access and manage."
"The solution is not stable."
"Having worked with SentinelOne, Cylance is good, however, it probably needs to add a feature similar to SentinelOne's rollback functionality. With this feature, if you get infected, with a click, you can go back to the pre-infection state. If Cylance could add this functionality to their offering as well, that would be ideal."
"I would like to see them fix the alerting system so that the endpoint reporting is a bit more streamlined."
"Work on the math model. We are catching a lot of false positives, which gets to be a pain at the start of a deployment."
"If they can add more features on top of their Persona feature that would be ideal."
"The product does not do a lot of reporting on what it is taking care of. Enhanced reporting would be a welcome improvement."
"The product must make the interface a little more user-friendly."
"CylancePROTECT's dashboard could be more user-friendly."
"The product needs to continue to offer better alerts. In particular, around false positives. It needs to reduce them from happening."
"The solution has problematic encryption, which needs reforming."
"We don't like the solution since it requires much memory consumption and consumes much CPU resources."
"The solution's technical support should be improved since we faced a lot of issues with the support. There were some delays in responses from the technical support."
"I would like this solution to do what Palo Alto traps does because I would only need to run this one product."
"Signatures to protect against new attacks."
"The solution should provide a more easy way to uninstall it on specific stations."
"It would be a lot easier if I could add multiple user accounts within a single device."
"We have a lot of problems with the user experience and it's difficult to implement. MacAfee's better than the ancient anti-virus solutions but it's a little slow to resolve. Many files with malware were destroyed through the network, and MacAfee doesn't detect anything."
